Boehner likes Trump, savages Cruz

BOEHNER LIKES TRUMP, SAVAGES CRUZ

The Republican establishment is getting jiggy with the idea of nominating Donald Trump.

How jiggy? Former House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday told a crowd at Stanford University that he was “texting buddies” with the celebrity businessman and would have no trouble voting for him in the fall.

According to the school’s student newspaper, Boehner “accepted Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee,” though he declined to endorse Trump’s specific policies.

As for the remaining obstacle to Trump’s takeover of the GOP, Boehner sounded rather Trump-like himself.

“Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Your tagline is a definite remnant of loony Beck’s better days. Explains a lot.

That is the problem with conservatism.

It has failed the country for 15 years, and conservatives would rather go down with the ship rather than actually solve problems.

“We sure won’t forget what Boehner has done.”
Of course you will, in fact, you already have. You forgot who was playing golf with Boehner and paying them all off and you forget who fought all night long on the Senate floor for you.

You already forgot more than the facts, you forgot what makes a conservative.

Ha

THis sellout of Cruz by Trump-zombies is just idiotic. Cruz won Texas overwhelmingly this year, and he'll win the Senate seat by an even bigger margin. I was very intrigued by Trump until his ridiculous attack on conservatism and Cruz and buddying up with the very people he supposedly opposes. He parrots Boehner and McConnell about Cruz and falsely accuses him of lying when there is not a single example. This attack, now three months old, tells me a lot about the Trump movement. An unnecessary attack and a dividing line created with a group that would have lined up to help Trump in the general and provide a much needed ground game.

Likewise:

Establishment hacks support Cruz — “See, Cruz is establishment”
Establishment hacks support Trump — “See, this means even the GOPe knows who’s ass to kiss.”

Conservatism has failed for over two decades. Conservatives are failing at everything.

And rather than face reality, conservatives are now proposing to go down with the ship.

What a solid plan conservatives have for us.

Boehner is done in January. He retires away from politics.

Exactly, doesn’t this make Trump an establishment guy?

I don’t know what it means, since both sides of this debate claim haloes for their candidate, and horns for the opposition.

The cognitive dissonance going around is surprising.

Now we hear what was inevitable from the beginning, conservatism is wrong and must be rejected. The daily mounting list of those who must be wrong for Trump to be right now includes conservatism itself.

Go Trump!

If they ‘re-elect him they have stupid schmuck written all over them. Scruze only ran for us senate to get a foot in the door to run off campaigning for presidency. He took the oath, and beat feet for a better job,he never intended to serve 6 years and honor his oath. Who in the hell would trust him?
