Cruz's decision Wednesday to add former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina (and one-time GOP presidential candidate herself) as his running mate if he wins the nomination, may make his newly found H-1B beliefs a hard sell.
At HP, Fiorina was a prominent supporter of the offshore outsourcing model, said Ron Hira, an associate professor of public policy at Howard University, who wrote about Fiorina's approaches in his book, Outsourcing America.
"To pump up profits, she was an early adopter of the practice, which given HP's status as a leading Silicon Valley firm, pushed other firms to adopt offshoring," said Hira. "It set a precedent that technology firms would now pursue profits through offshoring and that meant that Wall Street would hound executives in other firms to do the same."
As offshoring gained, Fiorina played a leading role in defending globalization.
To make her point, in 2004, Fiorina said: "There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore," reported the San Francisco Chronicle.
When Ingraham brought up Disney's layoff of 200 to 300 IT employees last year, some of whom had to train their visa-hold replacements, Fiorina said "shame on them (Disney) -- we should never support that kind of policy."

And frankly, there's NOTHING at all that iCarly can get Trump to say now, that'll harm him; not between now and next Tuesday, after which time she will become less than irrelevant.
After all, the ONLY time in the past 70 years,or more, that the voters EVER voted for the VEEP, was when we all voted for Sarah Palin. :-)
And since Teddy shan't EVER be the nominee, nor president, Carly is SOL !
I haven’t seen any polls from Indiana recently. Isn’t that a bit odd?
You’re probably right about their desire for Trump to insult her.
He’s not really given them a hook to hang their complaints on for 3 or 4 weeks now. They used violence (2 guys pushing kind of stuff) for a few weeks.
The hook in Wisconsin and Utah both was his response to their attack on Melania.
He hasn’t given a hook of any kind for a while. The Cruz people released a statement about his foreign policy speech, but it was the exact opposite of what Trump had said, so even Krauthammer had to say their words didn’t match reality.
It is even worse for Cruz. From June 15, 2015:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jun/15/carly-fiorina-open-legal-status-adult-illegal-immi/
Excerpt:
Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina said Monday that adult illegal immigrants should not receive a path to citizenship under an immigration fix, but said she is open to giving their children citizenship.
Mrs. Fiorina, who is running for the GOP presidential nomination, also said she could support giving those who have come here illegally and stayed here illegally legal status.
The Coach of Indiana will be a great help to TRUMP with those polls.
Great townhall with GRETA tonight. TRUMP and Coach Knight were splendid, as well as Eric Trump.
“I havent seen any polls from Indiana recently”
I think it has something to do with Indiana’s very restrictive laws regarding polling. Something to do with telemarketing as I remember. It makes it very expensive to run polling.
Yes, I agree that Trump should be polling much better in light of recent events but we have seen no new polls in several days with the election itself being just five days away.
You are quite correct about that, btw. Haven’t heard a thing since Trump was up over Cruz easily, but that was a couple of days ago. Time goes so fast, maybe longer.
Yes. They should be out tomorrow or Friday.
But, Cruz really wanted to bury the Northeast primary win’s influence on the polls, so he did the Carly Fiorina thing today.
It won’t work. We’ll flood media with reminders.
Get it on facebook in Indiana.
The media barely mentioned that Trump won the nomination last night with the historic shellacking of Cruz ,going over 60% , and the margin of victory and Cruz below 15% . This should be the top story today not cruz picks fiorina as Vp. The sweep at 60%, and Cruzs below 15% has to end it for cruz , a knockout , and forced cruz to drop out now , last night but instead he is picking a vp? what?
WE MUST send it out.
Twitter, email, facebook, etc. everyone you know especially in Indiana.
Best to include something about Cruz no longer being able to win, that his goal is to cause a war that will probably result in a November defeat to Clinton.
Ted Cruz just might be the slickest talker I’ve ever encountered in politics. He’s really blowing his future, in my opinion, but his tragic flaw appears to be ego.

I havent seen any polls from Indiana recently. Isnt that a bit odd?
No, his destiny was what it is, from the beginning...as long as he wore many masks, lied by both omission and commission, had his background papers sealed shut...he was “safe”; nobody knew him, but he looked good on paper. The more those masks fell, they more he talked, the more people got to see just what and who is he REALLY is, he doomed himself to just being an ambulance chaser the rest of his life.
He us the Dickensonian URIAH HEEP and the Shakespearian IAGO of the 21rst century!
That btch absolutely killed thousands of high paying American engineering jobs and then gave them to the ChiComs, all while making herself fabulously rich.
Just what’s needed...to finish off the last bit of America left.
No better commie subversive.
I’m in northeasten IN and received calls from pollsters before Wisconsin and New York. One interesting query: ‘If the election were between Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton, who would you vote for?’
If you’re interested, I replied it was a hypothetical question, that Cruz would not be the GOP nominee. Nothing since then.
