True. So Cruz’s campaign dies so that he can, what? Allow Yeb to beat Trump?
Sad if true.
That was good, don’t mind admitting ABBA is a guilty pleasure from my Jr. High school days in the 70’s, Friday night dances in the gym.
As I recall, only the horse survived Little Big Horn.
Yep it’s his Alamo, his Goliad, unfortunately, there’s no San Jacinto on the horizon
True.
I am Southern Baptist, raised that way. Let me tell you, Southern Baptist are very loosey goosey when it comes to what it accepts or allows in each affiliate congregation (for example, some can dance, some cannot.) BUT .THREE THINGS are not acceptable ANYWHERE to Southern Baptists: GAMBLING, DRINKING, and NOT TITHING:

(Today, Apri 27) During Carly Fiorinas running-mate acceptance speech in Indianapolis, Fiorina described Cruz as a really fun dude whos able to make last-second bets on exciting basketball games.
She revisited the final moments of that epic national title game between Villanova and North Carolina. Fiorina and Cruz were watching the game on the bus, and after Marcus Paiges incredible 3, Cruz threw money on the table. USA TODAY

On CNNs Republican Presidential Townhall, Republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told Anderson Cooper that he drinks alcohol What is your favorite cocktail? Cooper asked Cruz. I am a scotch man, Cruz responded. CNN [PS---scotch is not a cocktail; its a distilled spirit, a member of the whiskey family.]

According to recently released tax records, the Texas senator contributed less than 1 percent of his income to charity between 2006 and 2010. But many Christians believe that the Bible commands a charitable offering, or tithe, equal to 10 percent of ones annual earnings. The Atlantic
Re” The Alamo....
The battle lasted ~ 15 minutes. Given the weapons of the era I seriously doubt that ~150 Texicans killed 2.000 Mexicans in that period of time. Those guys got seriously steamrolled and their sacrifice’s utility was nothing more than the propaganda value of the “Remember the Alamo!” phrase. They weren’t much of a speed bump.
The “Yellow Rose” of Texas provided more value in “distracting” Santa Ana” from properly addressing the Battle of San Jacinto.
I wondered reading the article if he was real aware of Texas history. Bad analogy I think.
Losses on the Mexican side were very heavy.
he Battle of the Alamo (February 23 March 6, 1836) was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas, United States), killing all of the Texian defenders. Santa Anna’s cruelty during the battle inspired many Texiansboth Texas settlers and adventurers from the United Statesto join the Texian Army. Buoyed by a desire for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, ending the revolution.
In the early morning hours of March 6, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. After repulsing two attacks, the Texians were unable to fend off a third attack. As Mexican soldiers scaled the walls, most of the Texian soldiers withdrew into interior buildings. Defenders unable to reach these points were slain by the Mexican cavalry as they attempted to escape. Between five and seven Texians may have surrendered; if so, they were quickly executed. Most eyewitness accounts reported between 182 and 257 Texians died, while most historians of the Alamo agree that around 600 Mexicans were killed or wounded.
Most Alamo historians place the number of Mexican casualties at 400600.[2][3][4] This would represent about one-third of the Mexican soldiers involved in the final assault, which Todish remarks is “a tremendous casualty rate by any standards”.[2

LOL, Waterloo is more like it!
“Er, does Cruz know what happened at the Alamo? I presume he doesnt think hes Santa Anna.”
He does like to bring Teddy Bears to illegals.
“My neighborhood is going through a renovation frenzy. Theres a huge number of South-of-the-border day laborers on my block the last two years.”
Not here ;) We’re having an addition and deck put on and the nicest white English-speaking southerners showed up. We escaped Mexifornia and chose this rural part of Tennessee on purpose, since it will probably be one of the last invaded areas.
One of the roofers looked questionable, so after that we said only those that can provide proof of the right to work legally in the US could work on our house. Hasn’t been a problem. We tried that in Mexifornia - companies wouldn’t even talk to us. All they hired was illegals. I make it my personal mission to tell everyone how bad the invasion could be if they allowed it to happen.
Given he thinks his home state is Florida, it’s easy to see his confusion.
“There seems to a condescending, pompus spirit about the Cruz campaign.”
Nailed it!
