In what many are calling The End for Ted Cruzs presidential bid, Donald Trump ran away with the North East, sweeping PA, CT, RI, MD, and DE in epic Trump-fashion.
It will become increasingly difficult for an already mathematically eliminated Ted Cruz to continue to justify staying in a race after this monumental shellacking.
Ted has defended his odd decision to stay in the race by claiming that Trump has no path to 1237. After tonights humiliating defeat will anyone seriously buy what Teds trying to sell?

Sorry about your case, but if you would pay attention to the information provided, it’s a numbers game you simply cannot refute.
Those numbers were actually conservative to prove my point.
The are actually around 65 delegates not assigned from last night which will benefit Trump Even more when they finally are.
Perhaps you should leave the evaluation of information to at least the novices, a position you obviously aspire to.
Answer me one question:
Why should we waste our time trying to convince you?
You obviously get pleasure from trying to hurt Trump people with your refusal.
Why waste our time?
Cruz has explicitly stated that he is staying in the race in the hopes of a contested convention. That is exactly what the Dems and GOPe want. Cruz deserves everything thrown at him at this point.
Its more complex than youre making it out to be certainly.mkjessup, I think we have another coming soon.
There are third-party candidates, of course, and there is the simple fact that not everyone views being Not-Hillary as a compelling reason to make a positive assertion of support (in the form of ones vote) for any given candidate.
We could, of course, go back to the old Voting ones conscience vs. Voting strategically argument, but that boils down to a matter of personal philosophy and thus, I dont think, can either side be productively argued here.
Thank you for your kind words.
I had not thought of that element of courage needed to express conservatism in hostile environments.
Very good point.
Because part of winning elections is convincing people, especially the people who have doubts about your candidates positions, capabilities, or character.
This -needs- to be done if you’re going to win in November. If you can’t convince me, who agrees with some of Mr. Trump’s stated positions but has concerns about his integrity or commitment, then how can you hope to convince those even less well-disposed toward the man?
No it's not. Alleging you haven't found a candidate yet is 100% bull sh*t.
We ARE doing all that.
What I’m asking is why we should care about YOU and the sadomasochistic pleasure you get from your tantrums and refusals.
Would be easier to bring a dozen undecideds than a single sore Cruzerman at this point.
Let’s try a different tack here...
Not everyone votes strategically. Some (myself included) need to have a candidate positively earn our vote through their own positive qualities, not the negative qualities of their opponents or the fact that they’re ‘Not X’.
For us, this election IS a more complicated decision than it is, certainly, for you. As a Trump supporter, what can -you- do to address the concerns of those who are not yet trustful of Mr. Trump’s temperament/character or his commitment to cutting the size and scope of government?
I need a reason to vote FOR Trump. He hasn’t given me one yet. He still might, certainly things WILL change once the primary season is behind us, I guess the next few months are where we find out.
But with Cruz pretty much beaten, I maintain the onus is on Trump supporters to build bridges to those whose support they are going to need. Flogging the dead horse of Cruz’s defeat (impending or otherwise) is not the way to do that.
Absolutely I will vote for Trump if he is the nominee.
And if it causes the destruction of the RINO contolled Republican Party as currently constituted, more’s the better.
It’s not Trump himself - and his inconsistencies - that put me off as push as the attitude of “Trump is the GrAEt3St!!!@1, everyone else is dumb and evil and insane and you’re a jerk too for ever liking them” posts and posters.
We’ve seen that before - in 2008 and 2012. You’re right that someone needs to come back to reality.
Once again, your choices are quickly becoming very limited and it's is boiling down to Clinton or Trump. Take your pick. Or just write in yourself or whoever. This is not complex.
If you’re expecting an answer, forget it.
As I said, a dozen undecideds over a sore loser Cruz cultist, and don’t you dare try to pretend to be anything else.
I’m not going to waste any more of my time. Bye.
Your dislike for this great man just tells most people where you are at, not Trump.
Trump is truly a great man and indeed for most is the only real possibility of making positive conservative change in this failing nation. And, if or when it collapses, no one is even close to being the strong leader he is and will be in shortening the severity and protecting us from the internal and external sourced violence that may strike.
Yes, I am, but I also post facts.
Come on. How many times ya need to be told by Trump? He has repeatedly stated the colossal waste and epic fraud created by the corrupt lawyer politicians at all levels in government has all but choked Middle America off.
Nobody needs to "convince" you; you are the one who needs to do your homework and decide IF you will vote for Trump or not, when he is the nominee.
The ONLY question you need to answer now, is will you or won't you vote for Trump when he is the nominee and don't say "maybe". It's simple...either the answer is yes, or the answer is no.
