Hillary Clinton's once commanding lead over Donald Trump in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup has shrunk to just a few points, according to a George Washington University Battleground Poll. The poll, out Monday, finds the Democratic presidential frontrunner with 46 percent to the GOP frontrunner's 43 percent, which falls within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
But Clinton supporters ought not to get too worried yet. As The Hill notes, this is the only poll out there predicting quite so slim of a lead for Clinton. A Real Clear Politics average of polls shows that, generally, Clinton leads Trump by about 8 points in hypothetical match-ups.
The poll was taken from April 17-20 among 1,000 registered likely voters across the nation.

Priceless we need tee shirts!!!!
Turnout is everything,we will have it with trump!!
Hillarys people won’t stop smoking the crackpipe to even bother to vote, they have zero enthusiasm.
She’s still 30 points too high.
But but but HOW is THIS possible? Why EVERYBODY, EVERY EXPERT tells us Trump doesn’t have a chance against the Felon? I’m so confused. I used to believe every word the media said - of course I was 7 years old at the time - but now I just don’t know whom to believe. GO TRUMP GO! He hasn’t even really started on the Felon and her BIG lead is falling apart.
I don’t believe it. She should be dead in the water.
Give me X amount of dollars, and I will construct a poll with the desired result.
Yes, there are many PR firms which exist do precisely that. They are often hired by major Media organizations.
Then, those Media organizations take those "poll results" and present them to the public as if they are measuring public opinion, as opposed to attempting to manipulate it, which is what they're actually doing.
That's why the Cruz fanboys have been touting the ridiculous "hypothetical matchup" polls which, until recently, were supposedly favoring Hillary over Trump.
It's all about blowing sunshine to supporters, or forecasting gloom and doom to opponents.
Fortunately, any American with a shred of objectivity and intellectual honesty, and who has paid attention to politics at all, knows that Donald Trump has the potential to defeat Hillary Clinton in a landslide...
Vote Trump
Somehow, I don’t think the felons being allowed to vote will make any difference. By far, the largest majority of felons have zero interest in politics, and will be out burglarizing peoples homes while the people are at the polls. Still, it gives an excellent example of what the democrats are all about.
Give me X amount of dollars, and I will construct an election with the desired result.

“National polls >>> waste of time
Trump needs to win Ohio, Florida, and probably Virginia.”
Totally agree. And VA is going to be very tough. Even without the new 200,000 convicted voters.
IA and NV might be the easier route.
If Trump does actually squeak by and get 1237, do you think he should similarly skip out on the traditional general election "ground games"?
Well, so much for your prognostication skills.
It looks like Trump will have closer to 1500 delegates. That's a little better than "squeaking by".
And it looks like Ted Cruz won't even get to 600 delegates.
You were right, though, that "it won't matter", because Donald Trump, a political n00b, won this thing going away, fair and square, crushing every opponent in his path, "ground game" or not.
Additionally, your claims about Trump being a liberal also stand refuted. Jim Robinson himself has posted ample evidence of that.
So, just to clarify, you'll be voting for the man you called a "liberal orange clown", right?
Because if you can't bring yourself to do that, then you're only helping Hillary.
It's time to unite behind our nominee, and to stop with the counterproductive belly-aching.
Vote Trump!
From the number of people I talk to, young, old, black, white and brown, I’d say Trump is at least 25 points ahead of Hillary at this point.
