Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) on Sunday slammed Republicans who have complained about an executive order he signed extending the right to vote in his state to convicted felons who have served their sentences.
"Well, I would tell the Republicans, 'Quit complaining and go out and earn these folks' right to vote for you. Go out and talk to them,' " he said in response to a question about people saying his order was an election-year ploy to help Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

The fix is in. The puppet masters want Hillary.
“Quit complaining and go out and earn these folks’ right to vote for you. Go out and talk to them”
And there it is, in bold letters. McAuliffe admitting that the only reason he did it was to get their votes to manipulate elections. As long as they vote for the Dem, these guys will be alright. Let them form a 200k strong coalition of voters that will vote for the Republican and that EO will be rescinded so fast it’ll make your head spin.
BTW, how can an EO reverse something that is written into the states Constitution? Wouldn’t that have to be done through some type of legislative action, not the stroke of a pen from that clown?
Didn’t the people in VA elect this LIB criminal idiot? They get what they deserve.
He’s telling the R’s to “go and just become criminals LIKE US!!”
I'm born again, the husband of one wife, father of five kids and legitimately and happily re-tired from the workforce for the last four years
I do not live in a state where my felonious status prevents me from voting, but if I was ... I'd register and vote anyway
To both of you fascists ... if I WAS in one of those states ... why, in your words, should I not exercise my right to vote ?
I've paid my dues ... many, many years ago
What do you think about my owning guns out here in rural podunk Pennsylvania ?
Talk to them?
What wisdom might we obtain from felons?
How can our society benefit from their input to say nothing of their vote?
It’s well past time to publicly execute the concept and practice of “executive order.” It’s nothing more than lawlessness from a particular branch of government.
Okay, here goes: I’m okay with this. Either the felons have served their debt to society or they haven’t. However, I’m fully aware that this was done for politics reasons and not for constitutional reasons.
A felon can apply the have voting rights reinstated. In your case you would win.
The problem is the career criminals who should not be able to vote.
Unfortunately, the governor is vested by law with the power to do this. The EO is only the conveyance mechanism.
I’ll bet he’d be pissed if the Republican legislature restored their 2nd Amendment rightd. Do you think that might cause them to vote Republican? Would he veto that legislation? Let him put his money where his mouth is. Game on.
AND MY GUNS ?
I agree, please see my post #10. I think those who’ve served their debt to society should have ALL their rights resored. You should be able to protect yourself and your family. That’s what happened to Sean Taylor; after doing something stupid, he was later unable to defend his own life.
The dead vote in Memphis all the time.
Not by much:
Terry McAuliffe Democratic 1,069,789 47.75%
Ken Cuccinelli Republican 1,013,354 45.23%
Robert Sarvis Libertarian 146,084 6.52%
The Libertarians decided that the election should go to the Dem. Their votes should have gone to Cunninelli.
I don’t have a problem with a felon voting or owning guns once they have served their time and stayed in the clear for a period of time, perhaps 2 years.
Wouldn’t career criminals probably be in jail anyway?
Its the same thing as in NC with the law about no men in my daughters locker rooms, a plan out of the national dim-0 party, to put hillry robbem klipem in the WH. ALL them felons are new dim-0 votes, and in NC, the lesbian dim-0 mayor of charlotte got the law passed allowing even convicted sex offenders into my daughters bathrooms, dressing rooms or showers. They KNEW that McCrory woulds not let this abomination stand, and that it would stir up leftwing lunatic sonsofbitches and turn out the weirdo vote.
