“Quit complaining and go out and earn these folks’ right to vote for you. Go out and talk to them”

And there it is, in bold letters. McAuliffe admitting that the only reason he did it was to get their votes to manipulate elections. As long as they vote for the Dem, these guys will be alright. Let them form a 200k strong coalition of voters that will vote for the Republican and that EO will be rescinded so fast it’ll make your head spin.

BTW, how can an EO reverse something that is written into the states Constitution? Wouldn’t that have to be done through some type of legislative action, not the stroke of a pen from that clown?

Talk to them?

What wisdom might we obtain from felons?

How can our society benefit from their input to say nothing of their vote?

It’s well past time to publicly execute the concept and practice of “executive order.” It’s nothing more than lawlessness from a particular branch of government.

Okay, here goes: I’m okay with this. Either the felons have served their debt to society or they haven’t. However, I’m fully aware that this was done for politics reasons and not for constitutional reasons.

I don’t have a problem with a felon voting or owning guns once they have served their time and stayed in the clear for a period of time, perhaps 2 years.

Its the same thing as in NC with the law about no men in my daughters locker rooms, a plan out of the national dim-0 party, to put hillry robbem klipem in the WH. ALL them felons are new dim-0 votes, and in NC, the lesbian dim-0 mayor of charlotte got the law passed allowing even convicted sex offenders into my daughters bathrooms, dressing rooms or showers. They KNEW that McCrory woulds not let this abomination stand, and that it would stir up leftwing lunatic sonsofbitches and turn out the weirdo vote.

So no new law is needed??

He can just write new law by ‘executive order’ (like Obama) ?

"Well, I would tell the Republicans, 'Quit complaining and go out and pander to these folks' to vote for you. Go out and give them free shyt like I did,'"

Fixed it in the interest of accuracy.

OMG! Once again, a solution without an issue. 47 states reinstate felons voting rights as soon as they complete their sentence. Kentucky, Tennessee and Wyoming will re-instate your voting rights after you complete your sentence and apply to the Governor for re-instatement.

We have much bigger issues in America folks. Focus!!!

Why didn’t the Governor restore ALL of their civil rights? Why not give them the right to have a firearm? I mean, if you can’t trust a man with a firearm, why would you trust him sitting on a jury, or voting?! Insane.

I wonder if this executive order (EO) can be challenged in court. It would be nice if a judge would issue a stay on the EO until the case is resolved.

Did the legislature pass a law? Or is this one of those “Stroke of the pen, law of the land, kind of cool” deals?

This is so easy:

Start airing a commercial:

“Welcome to the Democrat Party. To RAPISTS, MURDERERS, ARMED ROBBERS, KIDNAPPERS, and every other FELON in Virginia. Welcome to the Party that puts YOUR interests FIRST. We only care about your vote, not your crime. The victims will just have to get over it. Bad guys need a break too.”
