WATERBURY, Conn. A confident Donald Trump told supporters Saturday that he's "not toning it down," a day after his chief adviser assured Republican officials the GOP front-runner will show more restraint on the campaign trail.
"I'm not toning it down," Trump told a cheering crowd of 3,000 people, packed into a high school gymnasium in Waterbury, Connecticut. "Isn't it nice that I'm not one of these teleprompter guys?"
Trump's new chief adviser Paul Manafort met Friday with top Republican officials and told them his candidate, known for over-the-top persona and brashness, has been "projecting an image."
"The part that he's been playing is now evolving," Manafort said.

Yeah that's kind of what I think of the whole "Manafort was just a political operator looking for work out of season when he campaigned for that Soviet Communist in Ukraine" notion some folks are trying to float too.
Being an out of work political prostitute is "a very poor excuse on moral and rational grounds" for proping up Soviet Communists like Viktor Yanukovych.
But, the political process (and those who infest it) is just a reflection of We The People who allow it to be what it is.
Who's responsible for changing that if WE aren't?
Gotta start somewhere.
Thomas Jefferson had some opinions on the subject too BTW...

x-pert never answers me. he couldn’t because it was a lie.
these pro-Hillary types do that, just throw these blatant lies out there and when called on it *poof* they move to another thread to lie....
I’m more concerned with the U.S. election process than that in the Ukraine. However, I do agree with your latter statements—and that’s why I find it infuriating when Cruz says that complaining about an illegitimate system that disenfranchises or ignores the will of many voters is just “whining.” I would have much more respect for him if he said, “I agree that we may need to look into revising the rules in the future, so that the decisions of the voters have more weight, but I’m playing by the rules as they are now,” instead of getting upset at Hannity or insulting Trump if anyone suggests the rules (set up by the establishment) may not be proper or representative of the voters in ways that they should be. If the GOP doesn’t start listening to and letting their voters (”we the people”) have more influence, they will pay for it electorally.
>>Im more concerned with the U.S. election process than that in the Ukraine.
Should the U.S. election process for a Conservative be managed by someone whose resume includes propping up Soviet Communists?
I kind of had the impression we the people were having more influence when my neighbors and I were able to choose, from among those who volunteered in our neighborhood, who would be the delegates to represent our neighborhood at the state convention.
We were also allowed to make and vote on resolutions to be sent up the chain to the state convention.
It was a transparent process.
I didnt feel repressed.
Maybe if more of Trumps folks had taken the time to google where is my caucus precinct in Colorado and SHOW UP, at THEIR precinct caucus, in THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD, then they wouldnt be quacking about being repressed by the violence inherent in the system ...
Monty Python And The Holy Grail - Help Help I'm Being Repressed
....either.
6 of them managed to figure it out in our neighborhood precinct (where they got out voted 22-6).
Where where the rest of Trumps supporters?
Jedi, Your post is agitator rhetoric to FR and no one here will sink with you.
“Manatee.... compared conservative grass roots Tea-Party folks and our allies to the GESTAPO.”
Jedi, I assume your allies are #NeverTrump and you are a struggling delegate poacher.
“.... went all PERVERT on us.”
Cruz’s pervert speech was, “I have no desire to copulate a rat.”
“Are we ready to do the 3rd party now?”
No, Cruz copulated himself in Colorado.
Jedi, Wake up, even rats abandon a sinking ship.

No, no..."underground resistance" would have been more accurate.
The Tea Party had no allied association with the dictator Obama.
“Underground resistance?” If you mean organized resistance to the will of the voters, then I agree.
(By the way, you, like the other poster, are still pretending that Manafort was talking about the Tea Party with no evidence, when he was talking about Cruz and his political operatives—such misrepresentations don’t help your cause. But, then again, I bet you are still just upset that so many evangelicals—the other group that was supposed to be firmly in Cruz’s corner—ditched Cruz and went for Trump in so many states. Of course, polls and exit polls in several states also showed Trump doing well with the “very conservative” votes and the Tea Party, so that must really cause your head to explode.)
Soo, you’re supporting Trump as the GOP nominee in November, correct?
>>Soo, youre supporting Trump as the GOP nominee in November, correct?
In so far as he’s the face of our desire to drag the uniparty’s oligarchic vanguard elitist vampires out into the sunlight so they can burst into flames from the ignition of their own putrid systemic corruption.
Yep.
It is done then.
It is done then.

She will win anyway.
Enjoy your wall.

It is done then.
Might have been a nice wall.

We shall never see that 5-10 trillion overseas coming back now.
That means other folks will have to pay for the programs he plans for....got a mirror.

John Bolton for SOS.
It would have been an exciting and fun time...
It might still happen.
