Obama Boasts In Britain: I Saved The World Economy As President

President Barack Obama boasted of his legacy during a town hall in Britain, asserting that he single- handedly saved the world during his presidency.

“Saving the world economy from a Great Depression — that was pretty good,” Obama bragged when asked by a student in London what he wanted his legacy to be.

He recalled that when he visited London in 2009, the world economy was in a “freefall” because of irresponsible behavior of financial institutions around the world.

“For us to be able to mobilize the world’s community, to take rapid action, to stabilize the financial markets, and then in the United States to pass Wall Streets reforms that make it much less likely that a crisis like that can happen again, I’m proud of that,” he said.

Obama also touted his Iran nuclear deal as “something I’m very proud of” asserting that he successfully stopped their nuclear weapons program without going to war.

He griped that everybody forgot about his efforts in stopping the Ebola crisis, saving “hundreds of thousands of lives.”

“I think that I have been true to myself during this process,” Obama said, insisting that the things he said while running for office “matched up” with his presidency.

I’m starting to think his buddies on Wall Street will manage to push off the coming depression until the next president so that Zero’s delusional legacy will be maintained.

Here, again, he couldn’t say this kind of crap if the lap-dog media didn’t give him cover.

So the Obamas didn’t get a state dinner. They didn’t even get dinner with the Queen. They were only invited for lunch. That’s what Michele gets for wearing a sweater when visiting the queen and putting her arm around her.

The liberal media never mention all the breachers of etiquette by the vulgarians.

It was the federal reserve. The actual bailout was probably on the order of 20-30 trillion. But all the bubbles are popping right now and it’s unlikely the federal reserve can stop now that the problem is 4 to 8 times as big.

This is a major reason I’m not worried about Trump in November. When the economy crashes are you going to elect Mrs Goldman/Sacs or a businessman who can fix the economy? The choice will be easy.

Every now, and then someone asks IF this guy (Obama) is on drugs, or WHAT!? I think this article proves it’s WHAT.

This kind of talk is what used to lead to crazy uncles being chained in the attic because they had a “condition.” Back when the world was saner, that is.

I recall around 2006 that the economy seemed in good shape. In the spring I noticed some Bush Admin guys from Commerce were making the rounds on the newsies and especially the Sunday morning newstalkies. Every message was the same:

I thought it strange, at the time, for them to suddenly appear and proclaim how great the economy was.

About a year later, we found out why. They knew a crash was coming and they were just trying to head it off until the next president took over. They, however, were short by about 5 months.

The day Trump gets into office he should change the way unemployment is calculated.

The day any R gets the Oval Office, both the Dems and Media will all of the sudden discover how bad unemployment and the economy really are. They will even find hordes of homeless people who suddenly became visible again.

The government created the financial crisis, the banks exacerbated the problem, and bailing out the banks was just more crony capitalism. The idea of “too big to fail” runs counter to conservatism, and is not good long range economic practice.

The FDIC should protect the little investors/savers, and the rest should pay the consequence for not holding their financial institutions accountable for their practices. The people should not have to bail out banks or companies that make bad decisions.
