Will this stem the MSM's flood of deserved praise for Prince? It turns out that Touré--better known in these parts as a former spoke in MSNBC's since-cancelled Cycle--is also a Prince biographer, his book published in 2013.
Appearing on With All Due Respect today, Touré cited two sources: Prince's former sound engineer, and a member of his band, for the proposition that Prince was a "conservative" and a "Republican." Touré embraced the notion himself, but offered a pejorative notion of what it means to be a conservative: "I am making money, I'm successful, I want this money and this success protected . . . When you are rich, you want status quo."

Surprisingly conservative, but not likely a Republican, indicated by his own comments on neither party “getting it”.
Amen!
I gave up watching FOX News several years ago, but the DH DVRs “Fox and Friends” every morning, so I hear parts of it from the kitchen.
This morning the death of this clown was their opening story! Next story was about how Kelly Rippa is so upset because her co-host is going to another stupid TV show. I am not making this up.
Just him givin’ back to the community, I guess.
Why has the president not flown home immediately? Why are the flags not at half staff? Does this compare with the death of Merle Haggard?
You two are hilarious!
Okay. Back to Neil Diamond’s greatest hits. Now there is some talent...

I think all the MSM news programs are having a contest to see who can report the least amount of actual news. How much news have we had about the economic crises in Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil or the Muslim takeover in the EU, etc. Nothing much for news but a lot of the ET type crap.
Or holidays.
That’s funny! My wife and I do the same thing. Great home cooked steak, potato, and a salad. And of course some wine! lol
No Prince though.
“Also under report was that he was the worlds biggest jerk.”
There’s a ton of anecdotal testimony out there that backs that up. Prince was a musical genius and a tough boss in the studio, but he could really be an insensitive and cruel person, too.
But, like many great artists, he could also be a loving, giving soul. He quietly helped dozens of lesser artists find their own success in the business.
He was an odd character, no doubt. That much was evident about him from day one of his success. He was a complex personality, and pretty eccentric in a lot of ways, but he was also an extremely dedicated professional who worked harder to attain his goals than most people ever do.
“He committed suicide because his Vanity died.”
Not a chance. He and Vanity haven’t been a thing since the mid eighties.

“Prince once wrote a song called “Donald Trump (Black Version)”
I always suspected. Rest in peace.
“...prince (small p)...”
Give the recently deceased a bit of simple respect, would ya? Prince was his real birth name.
“famous only for being famous”
Prince wrote all his own music and was a virtuoso on dozens of musical instruments. He sold hundreds of millions of records, and was a master arranger and recording engineer, to boot. The man won multiple Grammy awards and an Oscar, as well.
He was hardly famous for being famous.
I never saw what was so great about Springsteen. He can’t sing worth a crap.
Stan Freberg ad for Prince spaghetti and sauce: “In concert...Prince!” Stan’s son, that Enc. Britannica kid, is also featured

Prince’s lawyers threatened to sue then the Purple One himself called Stan. They had a nice conversation and Stan made him laugh. Sure, the ad was OK...and the company soon introduced a Purple Grain variety. Prince knew that the
ad managed to give him some free publicity. He would benefit, too.
He’s dead - all that really matters is if he was saved or not....
Bread and circuses....
My view as well, even before I knew about his political opinions.
