Mississippi and North Carolina ought to rethink their laws affecting the rights of its LGBT citizens, President Barack Obama said Friday, while inviting all Britons to visit the states nonetheless.
Before ending a news conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Obama fielded a question about the United Kingdom issuing travel advice to its citizens on Friday about the new laws in Mississippi and North Carolina that affect the rights of British LGBT travelers.
Attempting to assuage concerns and not offend the citizens of those states, Obama told the British people that they should come visit North Carolina and Mississippi, noting their "wonderful" and "hospitable people."
"And you should come and enjoy yourselves, and I think youll be treated with extraordinary hospitality," the president said. "I also think that the laws that have been passed there are wrong and should be overturned, and theyre in response to politics in part in part to some strong emotions that are generated by people, some of whom are good people but I just disagree with them when it comes to respecting the equal rights of all people regardless of sexual orientation, whether theyre transgender or gay or lesbian."
Obama said that while he respects the "different viewpoints, I think its very important for us not to send signals that anybody is treated differently." He then pointed to the United States' federal system as a reason for the trans-Atlantic warning.

It appears our defacto nominee has.
Barack and Mitchell Obama are a pain in the butt.
Yeah.
The question is:
Is Obola a homosexual Muslim extremist atheistic communist?
An atheistic Muslim-symnpathizing communist?
A Muslim-extremist agnostic Christian-Jewish hating homosexual?
All of the above?
Thanks for checking in Odumbo. But this is a States issue. You and your federal jagoffs needn’t bother with all this hand-wringing.
Screw you, Zero.
The states tell the federal government what to do on matters such as this, not the other way around.
The leading republican nominee has taken the same position as every other leftist freak on this. Sad.

Bull.
Can my CAT used the restrooms?
its a he but that problem was taken care of so can he use the ladies’ room?
he can take a flying leap .
He has no say about the Uk leaving the Euro , and he damn sure is a pervert by pushing these perverted homosexual , cross dressing views.
How dare the citizens of those states live under laws of their own devising as per the Constitution.
Every knee shall bend.
The laws we had were for people. Now we have special laws for special people.

Bull. Trump said this is a state matter and the Federal government should stay out of it. Don’t lie.
“I think its very important for us not to send signals that anybody is treated differently.”
For goodness’ sake. Why do we bother with separate men and women’s bathrooms, then? Or Affirmative Action, for that matter?
Because being a pervert is the same as being Black—both are naughty to the Bible-thumping white rube (Bible-thumping Black rubes are “gxds” to liberals, though).[/sarcasm]
You are the liar. Trump said “people should use whatever bathroom they FEEL appropriate”. Stop soothing your guilty conscience by calling other people liars who tell the truth. Or not. I don’t give a crap either way.
Obama always wants to wade in on stuff like this but pays no mind to what his actual duties as executive are to protect the borders and protect the US from foreign degradation of our trade and sovereignty.
Of course, that is what the knuckleheads who elected wanted, some weird social cultural warrior for their BS issues.
O and Reggie sittin in a tree.
