‘You Gotta Stop!’ Hannity Loses His Cool with Ted Cruz Over Delegates
Mediaite ^ | 4/19/16 | Josh Feldman

Posted on 04/19/2016 3:22:36 PM PDT by markomalley

Sean Hannity got a little frustrated with Ted Cruz during a radio interview this afternoon over his campaign’s delegate game.

Cruz said he doesn’t think most people care about this stuff. Hannity shot back by invoking his millions of followers and saying plenty of people “find this whole process confusing.”

When Cruz dismissively said only Donald Trump‘s people are complaining, Hannity kind of blew up:

“Senator, why do you do this? Every single time––no, you gotta stop! Every time I have you on the air and I ask you a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face, I’m getting sick of it!”

Cruz testily asked, “Sean, can I answer your last question without being interrupted?”

He explained how the system works and how the “noise and complaining and whining” is only coming from Team Trump. Hannity shot back that people have serious issues and “it’s a simple question, it’s not a Trump question.”

(video at link)

At one point, Hannity said, “Senator, I don’t know why you’re mad.” Cruz said he’s not mad, he’s just irked that he’s asking “only about the nonsense” and not about policy.

Hannity insisted he has asked the senator about policy plenty of times and simply wants to address

I think that is why we disagree. You see the facts in your post as OK.
I understand them but see them as not OK and as disenfranchising voters. So we will not agree but I am glad that we have kept it respectful.

This is Cruz’s Wall.

Yet Cruz went into hiding last summer, June and July, leaving it to Trump to defend The Wall alone.

Why did Cruz do that?

If it would suit you we could agree to disagree.

I would have no problem straightening out misconceptions that the press utilized to suggest Trump has not had an consistent position on abortion evolving from 1999 to present in a linear fashion c/w seeing the light. But then we would have to go on and I think we would not convince each other.

Sleazy lawyer = low turn out for Republicans and lots of votes for independent candidates instead of Cruz.

The moment he politically copulated with the GOPe he became at the very most Bob Dole.

The way Cruz’s daughter screamed stop hurting me daddy sent a chill up voters back. If he does that in public, I fear for the daughters behind closed doors. Did you see how he went off uncontrollably at hannity. It’s clear Cruz will get violent on anyone who questions him. Those daughters better never say no again.

Wait, what?

Is that like the kiss refusal thing, or something else that happened recently?

Hmmm. While I think Cruz is the better man, Trump’s campaign style may be a better (more typical anyway) way in getting the votes on Nov. 4th. And either man will be far better than the crook or thief that the democrats have.

(The thief being bernie. He may be as honest as the day is long, but his tax scheme is thievery. No such disclaimer for hillary.)

Trump belongs to the city
Cruz belongs to the bank
Living in a river of darkness, beneath the neon light
Trump was born in the city
voters under Cruz’ feet
It’s in his moves, it’s in his blood
Cruz’s a man of Wall Street

Just like saying Cruz is playing by the rules ignores the fact that Cruz’s actions pervert the process and disenfranchise the voters.

How did Cruz' actions disenfranchise anyone?

Explain that.

Cruz did NOT make those rules. Someone else did. So, tell me exactly what Cruz did to disenfranchise voters.

He followed the rules in place. That works with the "process". If the process is "perverted", that happened at the RNC, not the Cruz camp. Cruz did not make nor alter the rules.

As for going there, talking to people, getting support, that's called a "ground game". It means a lot in the rectangular states out west where cell service is often sketchy and we don't rely on twitter for news.

When else in American history do people who claim to be conservative decry putting forth effort and playing by the rules?

Complaining about how Cruz is supposedly "stealing delegates" or "disenfranchising voters" is crap, and a typical smear. He is doing what Trump decided NOT to do ("not worth the effort"). Cruz is going out there and doing the meet and greet legwork of campaigning. He has his people working for him and involved in the process.

And all Trump people are doing is complaining that it isn't "fair" and blaming the guy who didn't make the rules, as if he had cheated. He didn't.

It was no secret that the rules change meant that some states were going to pick delegates at their convention, nor that some of us were not happy about that. Where was Trump and all the bitching and whining then, or was it more opportune to wait until just before another primary to turn up the smear campaign against Cruz?

Trump made his bed, it was his choice not to bother, and apparently that left an impression. If our votes (delegates) were not worth the effort, we can have no faith that the problems of our states would be 'worth the effort' if he gets elected--and most of those problems stem directly from stupid Federal regulations and overbearing Federal agencies. IOW, those same agencies would have carte blanche to run amok for another term.

Ya right. Instead of unloading boxes from the truck, he should have been loading the illegals on the truck and sending them back.... Cruz is a Washington hack. He should load himself on a truck back to Canada.

The circus has changed a lot of things. That’s what happens when a narcissistic performer demands center stage.

I believe his supporters are going to be in for a rude awakening when/if he gets the nomination and/or the presidency.

Trump’s natural inclination is to insult and attack when he isn’t bowed to, especially women. We saw the same behavior when Megyn Kelly asked him questions he didn’t like, or when Carly Fiorna(sp) actually challenged him. He also seems to love the lawsuit threats when things don’t go his way. Now, to his credit, he did say recently that posting that unflattering pic of Heidi Cruz was a mistake. Fine. But the fact that doing that in order to defend his wife against an opponent who as far as we know had nothing to do with that Melina ad was his first instinct speaks volumes.

His behaviors are cheered by the Amen Trump Bubble inhabitants, but the generla public won’t be as forgiving as they are. Hence, his high unfavorables and his dismal poll numbers with women.

If this is how he continues to conduct himself in the general, and I believe he will, we would have blown the 2016 election by nominating him despite the warning signs

I’m not saying Cruz would win the election. He has is issues and the electorate map in 2016 is going to be tough for any GOP candidate. It’ll be harder, though, for a Twitter Warrior, whining, lawsuit threatening, woman insulting, base alienating candidate with record breaking negatives

Simple. When a large percentage of voters are sick and tired of the existing political culture, and view its "rules" as opposed to their interests, then taking advantage of the rules tends to annoy the voters.

Sadly, the voters you refer to don't have enough sense to TAKE IT OUT ON THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THOSE RULES, and not the one who went by them.

If Cruz had broken the rules, then they'd bitch about that.

Let's call a spade a spade. Donald trump didn't see a big enough profit margin in getting a ground game going in the Western states, and didn't put forth the effort.

Voters in those states may not be happy with the lack of caucus or primary, but that is an issue to take up with the RNC. The candidates didn't have crap to do with that.

Trump put forth no effort there, and got no results. I guess we were all supposed to be impressed by his money or star power or something (Yawn).

When that didn't work, the Trump marketing department went into full twitter fit and said Cruz (oops, "Lyin' Ted", I left out the standard pejorative) was cheating because those states didn't fall on their faces and worship the Donald, even though he has said the states were "not worth the effort".

There are all sorts of people all over, but most of the salt-of-the-Earth folks I know out here would be singularly unimpressed with the Donald at that point, or just flat disgusted.

What kind of president is that man going to make if he can't own the results of his own decisions?

Maybe he can blame the video.

I don’t think I know what was in his heart. I do believe he is a Globalist and that borders don’t matter much to him in the final analysis, otherwise he wouldn’t have proposed the 500% expansion of H1B visa, doubling legal immigrants and voted for TPA.

Cruz is a criminal fraud along with his Bush financers & RNC. Cruz pisses on the Constitution document & the Bible. Constitution forbids all delegate votes awarded. It violates apportionment. Constitution forbids non fixed delegates. Constitution forbids multilevel elections.

Sources, please. You make these allegations, including urinating on the Bible, now back them up. Or are you just fingerpainting with the contents of your diaper?

How is Cruz a "tyrant"?

I really want to see you explain that statement, please.

I think there is truth and some less than truth in what you say. For one example: A spokesperson from Cruz’s campaign pursued the same line of attack on Mrs Trump in March on National TV in an interview at length. This is one instance, I have seen a longer & more explicit one as well.

I don’t buy that exactly

The Republican establishment is helping him in these non election primaries

They even brag about it

The narrative then becomes “oh Ted just works harder or has a great ground game”

When the truth is the GOPe steers any delegates they have the power to his way

Anything and I mean anything to stop Trump

But it’s not working and folks are pushing back
