Sean Hannity got a little frustrated with Ted Cruz during a radio interview this afternoon over his campaigns delegate game.
Cruz said he doesnt think most people care about this stuff. Hannity shot back by invoking his millions of followers and saying plenty of people find this whole process confusing.
When Cruz dismissively said only Donald Trumps people are complaining, Hannity kind of blew up:
Senator, why do you do this? Every single timeno, you gotta stop! Every time I have you on the air and I ask you a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face, Im getting sick of it!
Cruz testily asked, Sean, can I answer your last question without being interrupted?
He explained how the system works and how the noise and complaining and whining is only coming from Team Trump. Hannity shot back that people have serious issues and its a simple question, its not a Trump question.
(video at link)
At one point, Hannity said, Senator, I dont know why youre mad. Cruz said hes not mad, hes just irked that hes asking only about the nonsense and not about policy.
Hannity insisted he has asked the senator about policy plenty of times and simply wants to address
Listen to the entire interview above, via The Sean Hannity Show.
I wasnt advocating for Cruz (he certainly doesnt need my help), I was simply pointing out the servile relationship to Trump now enjoyed by Hannity & Christie.
Nonsense. Hannity allowed Cruz to spill this bilge anti-Trump smear unmoderated on his show ONE WEEK AGO.
Nice one, you certainly do understand courtesy and politeness. Most of us on FR are not touch typists and mistakes are common and do not reflect lack of knowledge but fumbling fingers.
But you keep on concentrating on the non essentials since that is your forte.
Cruz went out there and wooed delegates. Trump could have done the same. Ditto Wyoming and North Dakota. It is no secret that this was how those delegates were going to be selected, Hell, I posted my gripe about North Dakota not having a caucus this year several weeks ago, right here on FR.
Nonsense. Trump could have wooed 2012 Romney delegate retreads until the cows came home. They are never supporting him. Cruz, OTOH, they are just fine with.
So you blame Cruz for introducing the appropriate bill to stop DACA instead of blaming the slimy, insider, open borders RINOs and Democrats who refused to support it.
But the delegates are not bound to represent the wishes of the voters. Good one.
Keep spinning.
LOL! I'm not as drink as you think I am. LOLOL!!!!
Why do Trumpette Tweets begin with the pejorative Lyin’?
We call Cruz Lyin’ Ted Because he lies. Lies about what may be in Trump’s taxes, etc. Cruz made his bed by running the sleaziest campaign in memory. Now he has to lay it in.
I’d prefer to see it in his words and see the entire interviews like I can see with Ted, not the media spin and manipulated quotes.
Spinning? It’s not me that doesn’t understand the concept of “very polite” or what this article was written about.
Cruz was against the wall until he saw that the wall was working for Trump then he got on board
...ahhh, NO, that’s a lie! And you know that since any 1st grader can google and see interviews with Cruz in 2011!!! when Cruz said he is for Walls, Fences, Aircraft and 4x more border agents to secure the borders, including the TX border that he visited and strategized with LEOs for solutions. Nice but dishonest try...
ymmv
Neither. I just think Cruz is playing both sides.
You is funny. But at least you are approaching politeness at last. You have your opinion. I have mine. Hannity was very polite under serious provocation by Cruz.
I would have not have been as polite but Hannity has a livelihood to protect.
No, your comment shows a lack of understanding on your part of the Wyoming process.
The candidate's ground game is supposed to pick the delegates they want to run.
The candidate's ground campaign is supposed to direct the candidate's Wyoming supporters at the precinct causes on which delegates to vote for.
Trump could have done that but he didn't.
So he misrepresents the process.
And his supporters repeat it.
Now who’s spinning?
This was Cruz’s wall.
In April 2012, during a Republican primary debate for the Senate seat Cruz now holds, he was asked whether he would support building a fence along the southern border. “Yes,” Cruz said. “We have an illegal immigration crisis, and we have to do everything humanly possible to secure the border. That means fences, that means walls.”
“I think we need to use every tool humanly possible,” Cruz said in a follow-up interview with Texas ABC affiliate WFAA. “I don’t know the specific cost, but I guarantee you it is far less with the cost of illegal immigration in this country.”
In 2013, Cruz voted in favor of an amendment by Sen. John Thune that would “require the completion of the 350 miles of reinforced, double layered fencing” along the southern border before “registered provisional immigrant status may be granted” and also the completion of “700 miles of such fencing before the status of registered provisional immigrants may be adjusted to permanent resident status.” (The amendment failed.)
Still you.
Neither. I just think Cruz is playing both sides.
Cynicism is a two way street. I could say Trump is playing both sides. He wants to deport, but he wants to expedite them back. He takes about three positions on abortion all in the same week.. I could go on.
From afar, I respected Cruz. He stood against congress... I thought he was an okay sort of guy. Here we are a year later and Cruz has changed my mind on who he is/was. You all younger folks may think calling names and insults are the norm.. it will never be the norm for this older citizen. I still believe we can disagree and state it without the name calling and disgusting badmouthing that goes on behind the cover of a computer screen.
Every time I hear Cruz say anything, he’s turned into name calling and he’s lied so much he has no credibility any more. And to Trump... he’s not changed one bit.. he’s as arrogant and rude as he was in the beginning... what I thought he was then, I still think he is. If you call his talk, lying... then he was and still is...
And to be who you actually are is more important than to be someone you are not and turn into. There is so much ‘put on’ in politics... a person has to have a better barometer than to think the politician is telling the truth. Trump comes as close to saying what he thinks, or what comes to mind at any given time. What I find appealing is his fight and his determination to win. Win in deals, win in saving this country. He got into this because he was tired of watching the country go down the drain.. and I think he’s withstood all the crap they’ve dished out.. more than most have had to endure.. and certainly more than the one who has occupied that seat for almost 8 years.
I don’t know how much honesty, preparedness, etc is worth if that person gives in to every whim that he faces, being weak is what we have already ... let’s get someone in there who will stop the political correctness ... stop the lawlessness.. ignore the media... tell the GOP they lost their place of power... and get these young people to think for a change.. to know what is going on and THINK. Engage in common sense along with that college degree.
You wouldn’t know the difference if it smacked you in your little head.
