As if local veterans enduring endless waits for government benefits don't have enough to worry about, now there's this:
Officials are investigating whether documents were inappropriately shredded at the Department of Veterans Affairs center in Philadelphia, which processes benefits claims from the Lehigh Valley.
If a veteran's paperwork is shredded instead of added to a claim file, that could result in disability or pension benefits' being denied or delayed.
The Philadelphia office and nine others were inspected without warning last month by the VA inspector general's office. The checks occurred because the inspector general discovered a claims center in Los Angeles wasn't following shredding procedures and it wanted to know if other offices were breaking the rules, too.

The Veterans Benefits Administration is organized crime.
They collude to steal from the taxpayers and the Veterans.
The FBI needs to investigate.
When we last visited a corrupt VA, it was part and parcel of the Teapot Dome scandal of the 1920s. Congressional hearings and jail times flowed from it, but that was a Republican administration. The most Democrats bunch will be subjected to is “Turn your head and cough.”
Sounds like something a party to negligent homicide would so, so I reckon the answer is yes.
I can’t wait for ObamaCare to fail forward to nationalized healthcare! Veterans will then get the same quality as all but the highest tier of the political elite. Too bad that everybody else has to suffer so that the US can achieve equality.

Amendment VI requires due process of law. Amendment VIII forbids cruel and unusual punishment. The perpetrators of these crimes deserve a fair trial and a first-class hanging.
The VA should be abolished. Absolutely shut down. It should never have existed.
Vets should get a check, no strings attached.
