In a surprise move, a Kean University graduate accused of sending Twitter messages threatening black students on campus appeared in court Monday and pleaded guilty to the charge.
Kayla McKelvey, 25, of Union Township, pleaded guilty to a single count of third-degree creating a false public alarm, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park said in a statement.
In exchange for her plea, the prosecutor's office will recommend she receive a 90-day jail sentence, Park said.
McKelvey, who is black, must also agree to pay $82,000 in restitution for the police response and investigation of the threats.

he "Racist threats from whites" made national news. Will the admission that it was faked get he same coverage?
SHOW HER MUGSHOT.
Remember the Duke Lacrosse team and how they were crucified.
No, it won’t get the same coverage because it doesn’t fit a prescribed narrative that white people are racists.
BWAAAAAHAHAHAHA!
Will not be satisfied until she actually does the 90 days AND pays all of the $82,000.
Believing they will still let her off the hook. Because she is black. And fake threats by the victims still are not taken seriously.
“Authorities said that on Nov. 17, 2015, McKelvey a self-proclaimed activist, participated in an on-campus student rally regarding racial issues held on campus.
McKelvey left the rally midway through, however, and headed to a computer station located in a nearby university library, Union County Assistant Prosecutor Shawn Barnes said.
McKelvey created an anonymous Twitter account and began posting racially charged threats of violence against black Kean students, Barnes said.
In court on Monday, McKelvey admitted that one of the tweets, which was specifically addressed to the Twitter account of the Kean University Police Department, read “@kupolice I will kill all the blacks tonight, tomorrow and any other day if they go to Kean University,” according to Barnes.
Authorities said that after making the posts, McKelvey returned to the rally and attempted to spread awareness of the threats she had just fabricated.”
My goodness, a False Witness Negro feminist, who woulda thunk it?
That’s okay, all the general public remembers is the initial report of the ‘racist white person making threats’.
Another log that should be kept - blacks making public threats against blacks as though coming from some “racist”, gays against gays, gun-haters against gun-owners - make a good book with only about a year’s worth of data I’d bet....
Yep! And that worthless POS Neal Boortz was all over those White Boys for those FALSE ALLEGATIONS!
This type of story is now par-for-the-course with regards to “racial threats”. The student should be put away for a very long time since this type of accusation can lead to downright murder and riots.
Incidents so rare they have to be made up to keep the narrative alive.
No Scandinavian there
.....what an arrogant wretch of a female....I’ll stop with that.
Those were very, very valuable tweets at a bit over $27K each. I hope they were worth it for her.
She’s got that “I don’t really understand what’s going on” look. That George Costanza “Is that wrong?” look.
