I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

Not the worst way to govern, it’s Bill Clinton’s 2nd term style...

I have absolutely no faith in that. He has already said the flyover Intermountain West states were "not worth the effort". If he doesn't think enough of this part of America to give a speech, I can't count on him to give a damn if elected.

We've had God only knows how many decades since anyone in DC gave a crap about us, except to fight us producing coal, oil, natural gas, and the electricity we ship out of state, they bitch about that and stop pipeline projects, and they sic the EPA on us if we start making a decent living. The Government owns half the real estate--but don't you try to go on it, they'll find something to fine you for.

Add to that, the Clinton style included a deep affection for "assault weapon" bans and other onerous infringements of the Second Amendment, (only one of the Candidates has acted in favor of the RKBA).

We definitely need to change the way things are done in DC, but Clinton Lite isn't the ticket.

If I am parroting anyone, it is trump himself, since they are his own words that are easily discoverable through a simple search. Whether he’s been a formal candidate or not, he has made political statements in the proper context. I think you’re well aware of that.

Freeper, FenwickBabbitt, was kind enough to debunk much of what the enemedia's and your narrative of Trump. THAT is what I'm aware of. I hope you bothered to read it.

From our own, FreeRepublic: A FReeper discussion on the history of Trump's conservative pro-America positions

Enjoy!

Have to disagree strongly with you. Trump needs to do NOTHING to win over Cruz supporters. I think that's the point of Jim's post. At this point Cruz supporters need to ask themselves who is likely to accomplish more conservative goals. If they don't realize it's Trump, guess we have to leave them behind.

One of Trump's greatest strengths is that he does not play the PC game. He lays out his goals and people can decide whether they want to follow him or not. There is NO special hispanic, or black, or LGBTQ ...XYZ, or rich, or poor, or educated, or uneducated, etc., etc.

EVERY other candidate, on both sides, continues to play the pandering game. Here a little, there a little.

So, Cruz followers get on board ...or don't. There will be no special carrot dangled for your support.

Well said!

It's time America discard the labels and deal with their fellow Americans on the content of their character. That is the way it should be. All those labels just divide us so the corrupt powers-that-be can use it to try to destroy our God-given rights and freedoms.

Thank you. That support ended with the ACA ruling, apparently.

Cruz, a Republican competing against Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in a July 31 primary runoff for an open U.S. Senate seat, called the decision “shameful” and described it as a “sad day for the court.” He accused the court’s justices of being motivated by politics rather than upholding the U.S. Constitution.

>snip<

The most damning comment in the article: "Subsequent reports have suggested that Roberts may have been influenced by issues other than the constitutionality of the law in making his decision." Which is aligned with the suspicions of many on this site, regardless of the reason speculated for Roberts' abandonment of Constitutional principles.

Cruz wasn't the only one dismayed at the decision, we all were. We all expected better from Roberts.

You can’t debunk direct quotes from the man himself. He either didn’t mean what he said then or what he said now. It’s really that simple. There was a time when people like that were called RINOs or worse. These days it’s acceptable to the ignorant, unconcerned, and ill-informed for convenience.

Then you obviously didn't read his informative post on Trump going back decades that pretty much debunks the enemedia's and your narrative of Trump.

So, You are telling us you feel more comfortable with the corrupt establishment and enemedia's narrative of Trump?

That's fine, ignore the truth, it's so easy to see how the establishment and enemedia always manages to deceive us in picking our candidates.

Some of us have wised up to their corruption but continue on with their distortions and spreading their deceptions.

He's been pro-choice, for socialized medicine, and criticized Romney in 2012 for being too tough on immigration. He's even said this - "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat," Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer in a 2004 interview.

But yeah - I'm way off base, right? You can choose to believe the guy's somehow seen the light. I'm not buying it.

You realize the enemedia is going to do all they can to distort Trump’s views????

You obviously didn’t read that thread that pretty much debunks their narrative and your’s.

You fall for their narrative, hook, line, and sinker. That’s how we end up with the establishment, McCain’s and Romney’s.

Open your freakin’ eyes, for crying out loud.

So when Trump won the 99 delegates in Florida, it was basically the equivalent of about 11 or 12 Iowas for Cruz.

LOL! I'd just about bet there are more transplanted New Yorkers in Florida than there are Iowans in Iowa.

BTW - to “debunk” something means to prove it never was said or occurred. That’s simply not true, here. It’s easy to see where Trump has made statements in opposition to each other over time. They have been made to favor the political climate and winds of the time. That is precisely why I referred to him (completely accurately) as a weathervane.

You obviously didn’t read that link to the FR thread debunking the whole enemedia’s Trump narrative

You just post something from the enemedia, CNN, to try to justify your stance but THEY are the ENEMEDIA and you just continue to be obtuse.

Jesus....talk about obtuse.

It's a direct quote from him that even has 'talking pictures' you can watch/hear for yourself if you'd like. There's no narrative or distortion. It's what he actually said. Please, though…..say 'debunk' again, because it's gotten past sad and become comical, at this point.

I wasn’t the one who used the enemedia, CNN, to justify your position. They are who they are and the enemy of freedom and liberty but continue to use them to justify your position.

So, when he’s said things I agree with, like building a border wall, should I ignore them because I saw it on TV? It’s a serious question.

You lost me at “Lyin’ Ted.” That reveals enough about your way of processing (or not processing) information that the rest is chatter.

So I’ll reiterate: in Cruz, we have EXACTLY what we have been crying for for decades. That this site isn’t univocally behind him is to its shame, and will echo out over our country’s further destruction if Trump significantly harms Cruz’ chances of beating the Dem candidate.

Also factually sound, and I worked for Reagan.

That must have been awesome!

“So, Cruz followers get on board ...or don’t.”

You don’t have to convince me. I’m fully prepared to vote for Trump, with or without Cruz. But if he loses a 10-20% of Cruz supporters, he is probably not going to win.

Trump supporters are overly optimistic about his chance of winning. He has a decent chance, but he cannot afford to cut any corners.

Neither he nor Cruz polls great in the general. Together they have a much larger base of support.
