I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

Even more recently, Carter banned all Iranians from entering the US, cancelled all visas already issued, and expelled thousands of Iranians that were then in the country.

Of course, people argue that was a NATIONALITY and not a RELIGION, so it isn’t the same thing.

This ignores the fact that muslims are loyal to Islam first and conventional nationality a distant second, if at all. Islam is in fact a virtual nationality with its own laws and no borders. Adherents should be viewed as foreign nationals regardless of their conventional nationality or immigration status. As far as I am concerned, anyone that adheres to Islam has in fact renounced their US citizenship. They are no more Americans than the Russian sleepers pretending to be Americans during the cold war.

I think that you forgot one of the best reasons to vote for Trump, he has all the right enemies and some pretty darn good friends.

Dude----the "liar" deal was THEATER. A charade to fortify the fantasy of "Cruz is an outsider." McConnell and his lawyer run a SUPERPAC for Cruz. They aren't enemies. Look it up---I bet you've never researched FEC.gov or Opensecrets.org. That's where you find who owns Cruz and what they're up to and what is really going on, not the shadows and mirrors of Cruz's campaign of bribing delegates and other cheating, dirty tricks.

I refuse to talk to a person on politics who isn't totally familiar with the Superpacs---all their info is public and available online. You cannot have an informed opinion about an election if you're not totally familiar with superpacs and FEC filings on a daily basis.

It boggles my mind how proudly uninformed Cruzers are.

Talk to me after you 1) understand fully WTO and its predecessor GATT, including the work of Robert Zoellick and the late Robert Pastor (Fathers of Nafta; Zoellick was Heidi's boss when she wrote Obamatrade working in the White House); and 2) TPP---it's 1700 pages or so---all online, but a huge chunk of it consists of tariff schedules; 3) Ted's exactly actions (including cloture votes and the like) to sneakily get TPA going so Obama could get TPP going and ALSO Ted is responsible for the verbiage which will allow China to join TPP at a later date. (In a sentence, TPP is "NAFTA on Steroids". To understand this election, you must know what is at stake for the USA.)

Most importantly, if you are not going to fully inform yourself, don't vote---it cancels out the vote of a Trumper who HAS fully informed himself and continues to on a daily basis. No one said it was easy. It requires application of the mind, much as Trump has done in decades of PRODUCING (while Cruz has lived off the government teat at the DC trough all his career, PRODUCING NOTHING.)

“Go cry in the corner if it upsets you that much.”

Now the usual snottiness of a Cruz supporter comes out.

I win the discussion since you can only retaliate with 3rd grade insults. Wonder why Freepers aren’t impressed with Cruz? Besides the candidate himself, his supporters show little class.

I will admit that Trump will more easily win over Cruz supporters than Cruz winning Trump supporters.

On the New York voter panel on Fox the other day, there was more opposition from the Cruz people agreeing to support Trump than vice versa. Trump has done far more to insult and smear Cruz than vice versa, and that's why Trump is doing more to turn people off and divide the base.

Rather than make wild guesses, read ‘The Art of the Deal ‘, written decades ago. He talks about following through on what you promise - he used Carter and Reagan as examples and was impressed with one man who did deals with a handshake, one’s word should be good enough.

If we are taking Trump at his word, as written in his books, then I have problems with some of these:

“The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans… We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan.” —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

“By imposing a one-time 14.25 percent net-worth tax on the richest individuals and trusts, we can put America on sound financial footing for the next century.” —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

"I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare." —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

"I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record." —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

“...and your law degree is from which school?”

One only needs to be a well read Freeper to be aware of the statute law (posted here many, many times) which says that a president can halt legal immigration from any country, or even ALL countries, at the stroke of the pen, and for any (or no) reason at all.

I fully expect President Trump to exercise his prerogative under that law on His first day in office.

It was a Reagan line originally, which Trump acknowledged. But there’s the line in Cruz’s ad, months before Trump announced. I am only saying in response to people saying Cruz stole things from Trump. On the immigration issue, that’s not true, and it’s not true with this campaign slogan.

Your mommy said for you to put your box of crayons up and go to bed. Enough of your childish postings. It’s time for the adults to have adult discussions without the graphics.

>Cruz came from a middle-class upbringing and understands fully how the average person lives in America.

How did a middle class guy like Cruz get into and pay for Harvard? That usually takes big money or political connections or both. Cruz's history of Jumping into an elite institution and then into elite politics stinks of the Bush machine trolling for useful Latinos to shift the GOP towards the party of Latinos they've been planning for years. Rubio was another up jumped guy promoted by the Bushes for similar reasons.

Was Cruz being “conservative” when he did the following:

6) Forgot he was a Canadian, and ineligible to be President.

Great post Jim!   Your list sounds a bit like a compendium of the points and the pledges Trump makes in all his stump speeches (for anyone who has been paying attention, and possesses at least basic comprehension skills).

Like other posters have said in this thread, I believe Trump is a man of his word, and has the proven ability (demonstrated again and again over a long period of time) to get things done, and to work well with many different kinds of people, in all different capacities, to achieve the goals he's working for.

I'm saving your list for future discussions in the upcoming weeks with those kinds of so-called "conservative purists", and I only hope that Trump's opponents don't manage in the end to somehow steal this nomination from him.
