Gallatin Police Department officials have released body cam and dash cam video of a fatal officer involved shooting. The shooting happened Wednesday morning. Gallatin officers were responding to a call from assistance from Sumner County Deputies.

Justified, IMHO.
Seems a certain segment of the population has a very difficult time obeying even the simplest of LE orders.
Doesn’t get any more justified then that.
I’m a huge cop hater, but is there ANY way to consider that other than RICHLY justified..?

He should never have let her get that close. She forced him to backpedal (easy to trip) and could have closed the gap and hit him far too easily.
The shooting was justified. She was determined to reach him with that hatchet. The lady’s mom says she was bi-polar, but, in such an instance, it does not matter. She would have taken his head off, had he stood there passively.

She did not give him much choice.
Michael Brown did not give that officer much choice and neither did Trayvon Martin give the white hispanic much choice.
Make an armed man believe you are going to kill him and expect to get shot.
I can’t imagine what was going through that woman’s mind. Notice near the end from the dash cam, she’s advancing towards the cop pretty quickly and then does a couple of dance steps that indicates she’s about ready to strike.
I guess the cops in the background figured with the woman being so close to the cop he wouldn’t miss - but not only be aware of what is behind your target, maybe step out of the line of fire, or offer to help the guy rather than standing by your vehicle!?
No controversy on that one. Very violent, and low IQs.

With the other squad car there I figured it was more than her just out doing a little gardening.
I couldn’t hear what she was saying, but I’m guessing it wasn’t “What! I can’t fix up the yard!? It’s my yard, and it’s MY tree. I can trim the branches if I want to!!!! The day I can’t trim my own branches is the day when you pry my hatchet out of......”
