The goal of the nebulous, sort-of-a-thing "never Trump" campaign is to do whatever is possible to stand between Donald Trump and the 1,237 delegates he needs in order to claim the Republican party's nomination on the first ballot at the convention. The informal effort has resulted in a lot more anti-Trump ads, and has benefited from the businessman's own natural inability to organize on-the-ground efforts in critical states. But the overarching idea, that the Republican base would slowly turn against Trump, doesn't seem to be paying off. In fact, a new CBS News poll suggests that Republicans are pretty comfortable with the idea of Trump as the nominee -- or, at least, they are compared to the other two candidates.

The GOPe fails again.
Trump won. There is nothing the GOPe can do about it. Trump has the voters, nobody else does.

Trump favorable at 50%?
That can’t be right, because the NBC poll that most of the media and opponents have used for the last month has Trump as 69% unfavorable.

By next week Ted will need 650 of the remaining 475.
They know.
And now we do too.
It is moving into the destroy Hillary party phase. Bout time.
That describes it to a Tee.
“All of the attacks against Trump have only made me more willing to support him.”

You and me both. I think a lot of people feel that way. It’s a total pile-on from media and GOP. Makes Trump more sympathetic, as far as I’m concerned.
I saw an article today (somebody will put it up, I imagine) where Rove is privately telling big donors that yes, Trump can win. I’m sure it irks him to say it. Publicly of course he says just the opposite.
Yes I wastched Trump on Hannity last night as well. Its becoming evident that Trump will be the nominee and the rush to get on board is starting. Ted Cruz is done on April 26th and shortly thereafter the suggestions that he needs to excit the race will start. Its time to move on to the general election mode.
Same here. I like Trump because of who doesn't like him. Before this election, I never gave Trump much thought. I've never followed any news or programs he was involved with. I'd never read any of his books. I do appreciate and admire many of the people who came out and endorsed him such as Sarah Palin. I trust their judgement. All I know about him now is from my own research and listening to his stump speeches. I'm not tainted by previous biased opinions of him as many here seem to be.
Absolutely...
And sales are going through the roof. My guess.
Yes, Tom, and you know what— with both parties talking about their frontrunners who have the popular vote of the people by miles, and the delegate counts by miles, it’s a given that the country is speaking, on the ground.
Bernie is reduced to a delegate war because he has lost all the popular vote.
Cruz is reduced not only to a delegate war, because he has no support in the popular vote of the people in the states, but also because he has committed fraud to collect most of the delegates he even has.
Theft for President!
Well said! “Gradually, then suddenly”.
I just moved to Southern California/Mexico Norte and registered Republican. I think there are about 3 other Republicans in my congressional district, so for once I've got an outsized say in this.
