Sharon Stone has cancelled filming of an upcoming project in Mississippi as a result of the states newly passed anti-LGBT religious freedom on steroids bill, HB 1523.
The films producers informed Mississippi Film Studios president Rick Moore that the law was a deal-breaker for Stone.
The unnamed film project reportedly tackles the consequences of cyberbullying. James Cromwell is slated to direct.
Unfortunately, Sharon Stone feels strongly that shooting in Mississippi is not an option while the law exists, Moore said. The other producers have chosen to regroup and find another location.
Moore said he has heard of projects on the coast that will no longer film in Mississippi for similar reasons.
While he said it is too early to tell what the long-term effects of the bill will be, Moore said hes noticed an immediate shift in conversation about movies considering filming in Mississippi.
HB 1523 has stirred many passionate opinions, which has unfortunately slowed the momentum of the film industry, he said. The incentive is still strong to shoot in Mississippi, so I expect independent productions without A-list talent will still consider it an option.

Exactly!
Who cares? The only reason they are filming there is to cast the place in a bad and creepy light. I can guess that without even knowing the exact film being shot.
If I had photoshop skills, I’d have explosive diarreah dripping down the walls in back ... she’s a bona fide attention whore ... a Madonna that could actually act from roughly 1988 until the year “Casino” came out (it was all downhill after that).

Drama Queen in a fantasy world supersedes states rights. ESAD SS.
Do you mean back when her bits were more “girly” and a lot less “irrelevant old Liberal skanky”? Just curious.
Why women continue to vote Liberal, when it is Liberals who really hate women, is beyond me.
“She’s gotten a wee bit crotchety.”
She was a box office draw. Now she’s just an old flapping cameltoe nobody wants.
Satan.
I stand with Sharon Stone in her desire to allow registered sex offender's rights to gain access to women and girls in the privacy of their bathrooms!
No state should prevent child molesters and sex perverts from exercising their "right to watch, film and molest females" in America's bathrooms and school showers! (/sarcasm!)
What is really going on here is nothing less than a full blown attack on freedom of religion and the traditional family period, by the majority of the political, academic, and entertainment classes.
It is classic leftism.
With abortion, the narrative can never be allowed to focus on when human life begins, or the merits and rights of an individual in the most vulnerable state. We must always focus on and defend a “women’s right to choose”, even when its a young women they are literally torturing to death.
Likewise, while conservatives never argued the existence of homosexual lifestyles throughout the thousands of years of known human history, or that they were somehow sub-human, the entire LBGT movement is based on a truly unscientific belief there exist an overpowering gene which forces people to be some LBGT gender, or that this gene can make one L one day, B another, G after that, and possibly T, and probably not in any order. Some literally claim no gender. Scientific method is simply perverted by acedemics and laughed at.
The same is true of the claims of anthropogenic global warming. For the vast majority of society, they have been taught this is the case at every level of education for roughly twenty years now, when there isn’t even a consensus on the methodology to use in forming the theory. Actually there are too many to count. Most “climatologist” simply rely on the deliberately short time-frame junk numbers as their default baselines. Junk in, junk out. Students are only allowed to use these carefully controlled data sets to arrive at “their own conclusions”. Entire new fields of study are rapidly and vastly expanding the scope of government central planners within GIS,(under the “science” of human geography), which deliberately depend on our most recent and very naïve generation thoroughly indoctrinated in “science”. Questioning these faulty “defaults” at any level of education can get you in a lot of trouble.
We are rapidly getting to a place in our country and society, where questioning the lefts narratives, motives, and goal to obtain absolute control of society and its resources will likely get you arrested or persecuted.
There is a rabid new generation being prepped for this, and the most recent generation is largely to blame.
“Hate crime” is going to carry a whole new painful meaning soon.
“That reminds me. I read they were spreading beavers in California.
Yes, that’s true and they are clean-shaven!
Speak for yourself...lol
yeah, lol!! What a blow!!!
You know there are Hollywood actors who thinks this is SICK and STUPID!!
I wish ONE, Vince Vaughn would be nice since he’s an A list republican, would come out and say how STUPID it is!
He defended the 2nd amendment. Maybe he can’t afford another hit.
Never see polls on how Americans feel about this dumb law.
Wow ,the law is working better than anyone would have imagined, keeping Hollywood sluts out of Mississippi. Should have passed that law years ago. Maybe when Trump builds the wall he can run it up the California border to keep them out of our country.
Empty heads speak out
Nice! Keeping the hypocrite out is a big plus for Mississippi!
The Democrat Party (especially Hillary) have received millions in donations from governments that want to kill gay people....Hollywood, your pretend outrage and virtue projection is duly noted, now carry-on being completely unimportant...
