On Tuesday’s radio program, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin chastised Donald Trump for insisting that the Republican “primary system is rigged.” The system is not rigged, Levin said, and yet Mr. Trump sounds like an entitled liberal demanding delegates from Colorado without having put in the work to win them. It sounds like Mr. Trump is demanding “delegate welfare,” said Levin.
The delegate appointment rules in most of these primaries have been established for nearly a century. In Colorado, for example, the rules for this primary process have been in place since 1912. “Has the system been corrupt for 100 years?” asked Levin. No. This “has never been a pure democracy” explained Levin. “We have a federalist system,” and the states determine the rules for their primaries. It’s the candidate’s job to navigate those rules.

And of course we’re all supposed to believe it simply because he said it. We are to ignore the eye witnesses at the polls who’ve reported contrary, and we are supposed to ignore it when someone comes in to reprogram a voting machine, and we are to ignore those who wrote the programs and know where those programs have been utilized, and for whom.

Levin is like the typical Cruzer. I’ve been trying to think of a way articulate it for a while. I think the best way to describe it is that they’re arrogant elitists. It wasn’t supposed to be Trump leading a political renaissance of America. It was supposed to be someone more like them.
But it wasn’t now, was it? So instead of accepting gracefully that someone outside of their circle, and with talents they don’t possess is the one leading the fight, they attack him because their pride is more important than the well being of the country.
That’s exact it. Trump has “stolen” Cruz’s moment and Levin is raging about that. It really is all about them. As another FReeper said, to the elites like Levin & Cruz we’re just the consumers who buy their product: conservatism. So, sit down, shut up and buy what we tell you to buy. Basically that seems to be their position now.
I seriously don’t know what we will get from Trump. He has shown zero consistency in any position and he doesn’t even know what a Conservative is. Now you may be some kind of anarchist who just wants to blow the whole thing up, which from all I have seen from you Trump supporters, but I don’t see that as a viable path forward. Your guy’s anger at the GOPe has driven you to trust a deranged and volatile public screamer with no discernable guiding principle.

Levin has been fighting in the trenches for liberty for decades, but these Trump supporters fall for a carnival barker with a dozen angry-American buzz words and a past that screams unprincipled self-promoter and cast off those who have shown again and again they love this country and love liberty. Trump has shown he loves himself.

Well, it IS rigged - it just wasn’t specifically rigged to rob Trump of delegates. That was just a fortuitous side-effect.
The system was rigged a century ago so that the party leaders could engineer whatever outcome they wanted. It’s a hold over from the Boss Tweed-style machine politics that dominated the GOP and the country back in 1912.
Agreed, the rules are there and they change every few months, whatever.

I have no delusions. I think it’s quite likely that Hillary will be president REGARDLESS of who the GOP nominates....hardly the attitude of a “cultist”. But the Party really deserves a mutiny given how they have behaved at the federal, state, and local level. They are milksops with absolutely no fight in them. As much as I despise the Dems at least they can get nasty and fight. Or leaders are just...well....pussies. It’s not just anger at the national leadership....it’s a revolt against the party’s betrayal at so many levels.

We Trumpsters on the other hand don't get so wrapped up in what to call things. In our view conservative is as conservative does. Either your favorite list are not conservatives, or that is the behavior of conservatives and we want no part of it. You are wrapped up in a label. we are wrapped up in what people do.
Who is whining? We are laughing our asses off at the jackass moves by GOPe and its adoptive favorite son. It is hilarious. Obviously Cruz and GOPe did not figure out all the angles before they used the rule to play an inside game in CO. How can it be that they won and yet, THEY LOST, big time.
