So, heres whats going on: Trump wants delegates from the state of Washington, so the campaign sent out an email soliciting possible delegates on Friday, April 8 to let everyone know that the deadline to submit their Declaration of Candidacy for Delegate form was Wednesday, April 6.
Oh, no.
It gets worse, though.
There is no deadline anyway. Well, there sort of is, but it isnt April 6 across the board; Washington has a number of conventions that all take place on different days and have different deadlines.. The gaffe would have reflected poorly on the campaign if theyd send a reminder for a legitimate deadline two days after it passed, but they now look doubly bad for sending the email two days after the deadline and not even researching to learn this, via Caleb Heimlich, executive director of the Washington state Republican Party:
Any convention or caucus (the counties are hosting them on a rolling basis from March 12 to April 16) has a filing deadline 72 hours before the event in order to appear on the ballot.
So, possible delegates can still try to get nominated from the floor, even if they cant appear on the ballot.
It gets worse, though.

Especially if Hillary has access to the 0bama voting organization, related to voters showing up, possible multiple voting, possible ballot “issues” (... “just found these 50,000 ballots under the stairwell in the church....”)
etc.
It is on HOTAIR s website main page today. The guy isn't really whining now in the article. he had earlier. But it is a story about how he was confused about everything.
it's Trump himself. He is his own best promoter. And own worst enemy.
Yes, it is beginning to show.
How could he —— up so bad as to be over 50% in four primary states just ahead?
He should probably drop out. I mean Cruz has 14%. Trump should be embarrassed.
Meanwhile back in Cruz Cloud...
WAHHHHHH!! It’s not Fair! Why do we Trumpsters have to know these rules. WHAHHHHH!! It’s SOOO confusing -— Washington State and Washington, District of Columbia! How are WE supposed to know the difference.
This bodes well for the Trump Administration to come.
>> will make American grapes again <<
Well, Mr. Trump does claim that he owns a winery in Virginia. So his staff may be making American grapes at this very moment.
Well maybe the new guy did this? Big help. Or maybe his kids that missed the deadline to register.
Sorry dynoman, Trump is not YET the winner & may NEVER be the winner.
TRUMP or CRUZ -— The 1st one to get to 1237 gets the Nomination Brass Ring (i.e., becomes the winner) — PERIOD.
Methinks all this incompetence on full display is a bit demoralizing to the Trump troops. And with good reason.
But all is not lost. Cruz was probably caught flat-footed by the Washington process also. Oh, wait. Maybe not? Well, then he cheated, of course.
The colorado gop changed the rules. It seems it isn’t only the DT supporters who are low-information...and no wonder fewer people vote in primaries. Good Grief!
I thought I would find out who actually changed the Colorado rules.
At the bottom are links to hilarious articles about the GOP rules that Prince R said would cure no longer going to sit around and allow ourselves to slice and dice for six months, participate in a circus of debates, that we were going to take hold once again of our responsibility at the Republican National Committee because we are the custodians of the nomination process and today I believe was historical and obviously very important to the future of our party and our country.
He sounds like Obama.
Anyway, colorado...[must not have been in Time magazine]

Colorado GOP decision to cancel presidential vote at 2016 caucus faces new questions
Lets keep the Colorado Republican presidential preference poll as a way to empower those attendees and quantify their support for a presidential candidate, he wrote in an opinion column published in the Post. And, most important, to allow Colorado Republicans to have a strong influence on who we nominate to be the next president of the United States.

Romney change to GOP:
TAMPA, Fla. The Republican Party changed a series of rules Friday to increase Mitt Romneys power over the GOP and make it harder for insurgent presidential candidates to compete in future elections.

The GOPs Primary Rules Might Doom Carson, Cruz And Trump

it is this convoluted so even a billionare is out of the contest, there is no way mr and mrs America has a chance.
that is the gope/cruz edict.
voters / citizens not welcome
You can’t expect the Trump campaign to keep track of two different places named “Washington.” Having a state with the same name as the nation’s capital must be one of those Gestapo tactics from the Cruz campaign. When did the Cruz folks change the name of the state from Cascadia or Seattleland or whatever it used to be called?
Guess you’ll be pretty disappointed when convention rolls around. Trump will not have the needed delegates. Might as well begin dealing with it now so ya don’t get a belly ache come July.
It's going to be the icing on the cake, knowing you folks will be grinding away...

lol
Just wait till he builds a wall to isolate New Mexico
Well once he’s President or Emperor or whatever, he can change the name of “Washington, DC” to “Trump, DT” (District of Trump). A much classier name. And he can use eminent domain to take some land and to build some really fabulous hotels on and make it a capital we can all be proud of.
