Can they counter sue the Goverment for forcing banks to make bad loans and creating a government entity (Fannie Mae) to buy all the bad loans?

My opinion is that the politicians forced the lending institutions into issuing mortgages to less then credit worthy individuals. The mortgage companies package and sell their mortgages in order to have capital to start the cycle over. The problem the politicians created a mortgage which a normal investor would not want to buy since it was sub-par. So a plan was developed to move these sub-par mortgages. The only problem is that the sub-par mortgages were backed with the full faith and credit of the US Government.
So the tax payer just keeps on paying for the politicians' effort to buy votes!

Listen to the Bush speech above where he is demanding home loans for totally unqualified minorities. This Bush speech was just a couple years prior to the housing collapse.

Yes, very good. Bush is only parroting what the left (Bill Clinton, Chris Dodd, Bawney Fwank, etc.) was saying for years. Definitely bipartisan, though a few Conservatives sounded the alarm early...

I will vote Trump or Cruz. The big commercial players had little culpability in this mess. When Government Statutes are passed by our feckless leaders, businesses must comply, or get in trouble. Heck, if I were running a mortgage firm and the government forced me to make loans by assuring me that Fannie and Freddie would take all the risk, compliance is only natural. Cruz's wife, was a low rank officer in the company with little power or influence.
That said, I do not like what transpired in Colorado with the delegate thing...

Do what ya gotta do.
Cruz would have a better chance juggling flaming chain saws while unicycling, than getting my vote.
They’ve defecated on my country. And I no longer suffer from BVS, Battered Voter Syndrome, and I refuse any further abuse.
