"The new law perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal's mission and culture," CEO Dan Schulman wrote in a memorandum on the company's website.
That's what a corporate bully looks like, folks. Conform to the demands of radical cultural militants or pay the price.
"It is corporate blackmail," Lt. Gov. Dan Forest told me.
But PayPal is not just a big business bully they are also hypocrites.
"PayPal does business in 25 countries where homosexual behavior is illegal, including five where the penalty is death," NC Rep. Robert Pittenger wrote on Facebook. "Yet, they object to the North Carolina legislature overturning a misguided ordinance about letting men into the womens bathroom?"

Good for North Carolina. The Lt. Governor is 100% right. A bill letting men into Women’s Restrooms is NOT about gay rights. Its about PC Liberalism gone insane. PayPal just wants cheap, feel-good PC credit. If they really wanted to do something, they’d pull out of Saudi Arabia.
But, but, THE BOSS said it was cool!
I thnk it’s part of the subversive pedophile agenda trying to work its way to normalisation, just as the sodomite agenda already has.
Meanwhile, PayPal corporate offices continue to have separate “Men” and “Women” restrooms.
Hypocrites.
One of the goals in furtherance of the communist takeover of America from "The Naked Communist" by Cleon Skousen (1958)
“”It is corporate blackmail,” Lt. Gov. Dan Forest told me.”
Todd Starnes and Lt. Gov. Forrest are on to something here as Blackmail is against both federal and state laws.
However, I doubt that the Obama Justice Department will prosecute PayPal, but I see no reason why North Carolina will not prosecute PayPal for Blackmail.
I will no longer use their services, just as I have not shopped at a certain large retail chain that stopped allowing the Salvation Army to collect during Christmas, have not purchased a “government motors” automobile, and simply just put companies like that on my list to avoid. If enough people do that, they will shut up.
I think a raid by the North Carolina State Police of IBM offices in Research Triangle Park citing suspicion of kiddie porn on executive computers would send a strong message.
PayPal is the most gay-friendly business in America.
Especially the way they love to prison rape most of their users.
I did, and told them why when I did. We need to vote with our wallet....
Hit back at corporations hard as rich, crony-capitalists buying influence, and monied political manipulators.
Its the theme of the left and it will scare the hell out of them.
PayPal is the only service where I was ever hacked. I had someone use my PayPal account to buy merchandise in Europe. Ever since then, I shut my account down and have not used it again. Every once in a while I get an email asking me to use it again and explaining how safe it is. I reply by telling them how I got hacked.
Many big businesses are trying to extorts others in areas that have nothing to do with their products. I can do without PayPal.
Ha, PayPal has separate bathrooms? hahah love it/ tx
The whole idea is so sick. Thanks NC for showing the way.
In other words, the American Left are ALL FOR Corporate America running the country?
I would even say "Bully for North Carolina!".
I appreciate your anger, but I don’t think the angry quotation of “corporate blackmail” really suggests that PayPal’s behavior rises to the legal bar for prosecution.
