the allegiances of the Colorado delegates will be uncertain right up to the first vote at the national convention.
"In the March caucuses, the party chose not to hold a straw poll so the state's delegates are free to choose the candidate they feel deserves support right up to the eve of the national convention in July."
The delegates who want to go to National have a history of telling their fellows who are voting for them (at the state convention) whatever they want to hear. For all we know, we could have another batch of Ron Paul supporters.
“the prospects for either candidate to win the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination is looking increasingly slim after Cruz’s win in Wisconsin.”
Slim for Ted
Very doable for Donald
Vote Trump!
Michiganders aren’t going to play like those in Colorado.
After all the Tigers won their season home opener yesterday and we’re expecting 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow.
After that no one I know here likes Cruz even a small bit.
Another useless thread. This guy is a fool.
In brief, Cruz has a ground game and Trump doesn’t although Trump had the millions to organize one. He thought just the sound of his voice would cause the Republican apparatus to fall and worship at his feet.
Cruz knew you have to campaign from the ground up and that is winning for him the states that require grass roots organization to win.
What’s important about this is at that the candidate with no ground game in November is going to lose every time.
That’s the major disadvantage to Trump and Bernie. They may be more personally popular but if they don’t have the local organizations doing the get-out-the-vote work, they’re not going to capture the brass ring. You may not like hearing that, but it’s the political truth.
