Trump’s weak delegate operation could derail his nomination
MSNBC ^ | 6 April 2016 | Benjy Sarlan

There’s a recurring question among the Republicans gathering in Colorado at state and local conventions to choose delegates this week: "Where’s Donald Trump?"

Colorado is a rare state where party officials choose delegates without any input from a primary or caucus vote. The bulk of the state’s 37 delegates will be picked at a series of congressional district conventions on Friday and a state convention on Saturday in Colorado Springs. Prospective delegates can run as unaffiliated free agents or pledge to back a candidate.

"There just doesn’t seem to be any Trump organization at all, to be honest," Dick Wadhams, a former Colorado GOP chairman, told MSNBC. "I do think that Cruz has an advantage going into this convention on Saturday."

Trump has went one on one with Cruz.

Cruz: “Trump donates to liberal politicians”
Trump: “I donated to you”

Nuff said.

Sounds like the old Soviet Union.

I agree, Cruz is devious. He acts like a thieving coon-badger, stealing because he is too pathetic to earn his own delegates. He is unlikeable.

He takes what he has not rightfully earned.

Once again, Ted has proven to be ethically challenged and a pious hypocrite. <-—Epic Fail

Looking forward to your well-deserved ZOT.

Cruz will not be nominated. Even if he were, he will lose the general in a landslide.

Ever look up *any* liberal site? All of them paint him as a snake-handling fundamentalist, or worse.

He will get no crossover; and his carrion-fowl ways and continuing to campaign after his elimination (along with Kasich) for the express purpose of denying Trump the nomination (rather than unifying the party and rallying around the receiver of the majority of committed delegates and majority of votes)...will just poison the well.

And all for a globalist shill masquerading as a principled religious conservative.

Levin and Limbaugh likewise have destroyed their trust with large segments of their audience: Levin has, what is it, a son, or son-in-law-to-be, in the Cruz campaign; Rush at least regularly golfs and vacations with the GOP-e and (just possibly) has them yanking his chain behind the scenes concerning his oxycontin issues in the past.

Why bother? All the other debates have been explicitly rigged against Trump.

I guesstimate about two dozen; including some long-time sleeper trolls from ‘98 or ‘99 who always seem to reactivate around election time.

and thus save the Republic.

What do you know about the current state of our republic? You've been living in Japan for decades. I am getting tried of ex-pats that haven't the slightest idea of what is going on HERE bashing Trump. People that actually live here know that if want to save the republic you vote Trump.

Yeah. That makes sense.
(Not really)

Sometimes life isn’t fair. The MSM wanted to bring down the front runner. Read my suggestion again. Pay attention to the red words.

Pay attention to the red words.

I did. There's such a thing as precedent.

If Cruz had called for this early on, before it was clear he would be mathematically eliminated, I'd have listened.

But the fact that both Cruz and Kasich are knowingly, deliberately acting as spoilers -- and I give Kasich the nod that he is not acting as carrion-fowl and seeking to pickpocket delegates in states Trump has already won -- (*) -- together with the track record of all moderators -- means by definition that such a call is no longer being made in good faith.

when was the last time you had sitting members of the GOP actively attacking the leading candidate long after all other candidates for the nomination had either been mathematically eliminated, or practically eliminated?

You keep saying “1273.”

I do not think that means what you think it means.

Try 1237.

No candidate is likely to gain that many delegates. After the first vote, the delegates are likely to select Cruz. That’s probably how it’s going to play out, according to the long-established rules. No “stealing” votes. Just working within the system.
