Israel calls on citizens to 'immediately leave Turkey

Counter-Terrorism Unit further upgrades travel warning and urges Israelis not to visit Turkey, citing a high-level and concrete threat of an ISIS terror attack in the country.

Israel's Counter-Terrorism Unit once again upgraded its travel warning to Turkey on Friday, urging Israelis currently in the country "to leave Turkey as soon as possible."

The upgraded and urgent warning, set at level two (indicating a high level, concrete threat) comes on the heels of a warning issued by Turkish authorities a week and a half ago of an ISIS plan to attack Jewish targets in the country, including synagogues, Jewish schools and kindergartens.

They were also having an emergency meeting on the Sabbath.

I searched for this or any articles about this warning, cold not find.

My BIL is Turkish. Not religious. A brilliant engineer who has built a business here making special tooling for the aerospace industry. He loves America, but also loves his home country and has a business there. He travels there about a dozen times a year, I worry about him. He hates Erdogan!

A lot of the Turkish people hate Erdogan. Turkey prospered for almost 100 years under Kemalist secular government. Erdogan is playing with fire and may find himself Ceaucescued before it’s over.
