Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino is circulating a call for primary challengers to Rep. Elise Stefanik, a North Country Republican who is heading into her first re-election bid.
In an email sent to supporters Wednesday, Paladino called Stefanik a RINO Washington elitist establishment sell-out.
Ron, we are done with Elise, he wrote in response to an email from Ronald Deeley, a conservative activist from the western side of Stefaniks district. She drinks the cool aid (sic). Clearly shes a fraud.
Yeah. We live in her district.. Got sucked in to voting for her when she campaigned under the ‘conservative’ banner. Then immediately became a Boehner then Ryan lackey. She’s a prime specimen example of the phrase GOPe.
I’m sure you are aware of this. Any comments? Thanks.
Yes I know about it. You wouldn’t believe what and how she is fighting us all in NY.
Her whole district leadership is working with Cox to throw this election in to a brokered convention.
I hope Carl is successful.
We have a candidate I think.
I will check with Carl to verify.
Good. Thanks.
Is there any “R” from the Northeast that doesn’t go native in short order ?
Um, what has she done wrong?
Carl seems ticked that she hasn’t endorsed Trump (or anyone in the POTUS race), whom he preposterously claims has 80% support in her district. The article doesn’t mention any other reason. Give me a break.
I’m not really interested in this gadfly’s opinion, his horrendous performance in the 2010 election probably cost the GOP a downballot office (Comptroller). Are any serious people itching for Stefanik to be primaired for any serious reason? Ie some especially naughty votes she’s casted?
A big one was likely voting for Boner Boy and Ryan for Speaker. Any person claiming to be Tea Party coming in and voting for the corrupt status quo leadership was lying to the voters about their leanings.
Almost every GOP member voted for them, both were duly nominated as the GOP Speaker nominee, Boehner was not challenged for the nomination at all and opposition to Ryan melted away (I don’t recall if they had a formal vote between him and Webster). “Didn’t cast a meaningless protest vote during the Speaker election”? Really? That’s not a reason, not for me at least.
For a lot of the base, it IS important. BTW, have you noticed the ACU still hasn’t released its 2015 vote ratings for Congress ? We’re already in April, and these should’ve been released at the start of the year (or after Congress adjourned for the holidays).
Well, I don’t think all 230 some people that voted for Ryan are gonna get primaried, or should be, on the basis of that alone.
ACU,
Googling it, the 2014 numbers didn’t come out till MAY 12, 2015. Ridiculous. The 2013 numbers came out Feb 27th, 2014.
At least they made it so you can read the damn ratings again. For a couple years there they scrapped the old format they had (heaven knows why, nothing was wrong with it) and were using “Scribd” files that were on their side and nearly impossible to read.
