Ted Cruz was expected to win Wisconsin, but the surprise was how easily Cruz was able to defeat Donald Trump.
Wisconsin Republicans had mobilized against Donald Trump in a more unified way than had been visible in any previous contest. Trump has not done himself any favors with a week that was a textbook study in how to alienate voters.
Sarah Palins horrible appearance as a surrogate for Trump at a Milwaukee Republican event made it clear to one and all that Wisconsin was not going to be Trump country. Donald Trumps campaign has always had a by the seat of the pants ad-libbed feel, but Trumps winging it mentality came back to bite him in Wisconsin, where the states educated electorate showed no patience for Trumps antics.
Make no mistake about it, Ted Cruzs victory in Wisconsin was really a vote against Trump. The Never Trump Republican movement got a much-needed shot in the arm. Donald Trump is not unbeatable, nor is his nomination inevitable.
There are numerous reports of infighting within the Trump campaign, and Trumps numerous flip-flops and gaffes have painted a picture of a wounded frontrunner. The loss in Wisconsin is only going to fan the flames of reports that Trump is a candidate on the verge of decline. Trump is wobbly, and the delegate math is now complicated. Coming out of Wisconsin, the notion that Donald Trump is destined to be the Republican nominee may have been dealt a death blow.
Can’t wait to see how Ted feels after New York.
The Establishment won, yeah! Woo hoo!
Please, do you realize how transparently-ridiculous headlines like this sound? Especially when you look at the map, and what primaries are coming up.
Hyperbole much?
Now that there is a funny seeing that Trump announced last night that he did not expect to win, sure he hoped to, however, he was keeping his feet firmly planted in reality, unlike Cruz who thinks this win is the launching of him being the nominee.
I would agree if it weren’t the stratospherically odd way the primary is won.
If you don’t get to 1237, then anything can happen.
However, NY and CA are hugh and Series and he will do very well there, I think, Trump
Now tell me where is your next win going to be?
Heh!
The article cannot admit that there was a lib operation chaos taking place against Trump in wisconsin’s big liberal towns.
And the cruzers chant “Go Uniparty Go!”
Trump’s delegate mathematician had no allowance for picking up any delegates in WI along the path to 1237+. Yet, the results as of now are 35% Trump, 48.5 Cruz with a bonus pickup of 3 to 6 delegates from WI for Trump.

Now the campaign goes to the northeast where Trump is very strong.
Cruz said the same nonsensical scripted bluster in his speech after he won Iowa. Like NH and SC subsequently smacked him down, so will New York and the northeast.
So kik, why nothing positive from you about Cruz’s win? Seriously, all your posts have been ones attacking Trump. Why aren’t you celebrating Cruz’s win? Very strange behavior from people who claim this is a turning point for their guy.
These are not the posts of people who are happy their guy just won Wisconsin? Man, you Cruz supporters are some bitter people...even when your guy wins. Strange indeed.
There’s no way in Ted Cruzifer’s realm that an anti-Trump concern troll looks that adorable! :)
It’s vey hugh and vey series that Trump has the upper decent-sized hand in NY and CA. :)
Some will be happy when this leads to Hillary winning in November.
