Yea, it’s a character flaw.

But I’m still a work in progress.

LOL. :)

Having the most delegates is not the same thing as having a majority. If someone fails to have a majority that means more people voted for someone else than voted for him. There is no rational basis for thinking the person with the largest minority of delegates has a right to the nomination. I'm not sure why that is so hard for people to understand.

The nominee will be the one that gets a majority of delegates. It may be that the convention comes and nobody has it going in. Which will mean it will have to be decided by some delegates eventually changing their votes. That's not shenanigans, that's basic logic.

...This was meant to shame my wife, and to put anyone on notice around the guy, that if they mentioned Trump, they too would be shamed....

Very interesting.

"Today though it sure does seem like the tone of the conversation is “you are not a good man if you don’t support who the GOP gives you”"

Incorrect. What you are getting is resistance to the idea that Trump must be awarded the nomination, regardless of whether he wins it, regardless of anything, and if he doesn't win it you won't vote Republican. You have every right to think that way but you shouldn't be surprised to get some push back.

I think agreeing not to support a GOP nominated candidate is the general opinion around here.

But as for Free Republic, you’ve entered unknown territory populated by little cliques held together by their worship of Donald Trump.

If you don’t to the zombie herd, you will be killed ... at least verbally.

I don’t need him to fight my fight Newbie, but now he knows your opinion and one day you will see that every Freeper will support the nominee or you will have a short existence here.

See, if you don’t then you are a supporter of Democrats, and this is not a Democrat forum.

All no votes are Dem votes. Figure it out and get over your snotty attitude over some contrived diss to your supposed emotional problem of holding your nose to vote again.

If you take a guy with 70% the delegates of one guy, and try and make him the nominee that’s shenanigans.

If you try and provoke a fight and stick someone who didn’t even run in the primary, or say only won Ohio as the nominee that’s more than shenanigans.

Now, I can understand say if two guys were within say 20-50 delegates of each other, and the party thought “this guy here can win”, well, I could understand that.

But I don’t see that as happening. What I see happening is an effort to cause mayhem at the convention from the articles I’ve read to date.

No it isn't. You aren't counting the other delegates who rightfully have their say too. Delegates won by other candidates who not being able to see their candidate win have to choose among the remaining contenders. The people they represent count too.

As I said, if a candidate doesn't have a majority then more people voted for someone else than him. Those people have a right to their say.

Another exit poll that favors Trump.

I think Trump could win Milwaukee. There aren’t going to be many dem crossovers because of the closeness of the dem race, and those that do are likely to vote Trump, since he likes to talk about reinvigorating manufacturing.

It was once said (possibly by radio host Garry Meier) that in Kenosha the status symbol is possession of industrial-grade tools. This sounds like it might be Trump territory.

many things went on that was and still is out of my control, but with God’s help all will soon be clear. At least for me.

If you hover over the block that says “2016 Presidential Election (Donald Trump vs Ted Cruz)”, a button appears that says “Change Settings.” You can modify the settings there, and then “Draw Map” to show the new results. Have fun playing with it.

I don’t know what the source of the polling is... I haven’t taken the time to investigate it, and the source could be very important.

A perception fostered by the never Trump media and establishment not rooted in fact

You’re right though

We both are

But the question is will the manufactured perception enough to change facts?
