I hope FR hasn't been suddenly removed from the root DNS servers.

Have you checked your beeber? Are you logged in with a moose in your shower?

Same thing on my PC, but I can get it on my cell phone. I also updated my hosts file to get it working on my PC.

Click this button. Add a number with 6 zeroes after it. I guarantee Jim Rob himself will deliver your DNS info. Whatever that means.

Been having on and off trouble logging in.

Something about localhost not found.

I am at work and the site was suddenly blocked. I switched to another proxy (pc that filters us from “bad” sites) and it worked. Something changed.

Check the republican party. Maybe they hired hackers to stop people at the site from wanting to elect Trump or Cruz.......

There’s a way to push it back into the DNS servers if so.

Works fine with me. I did have problems Saturday morning with Trumps website. Same thing. No DNS resolution.

My eventual solution was to upgrade chrome (it had a pending upgrade).

If you put www.freerepublic.com into the address bar, it works

Without the www. it no longer finds the site (it used to be that you did not need www)

Looks like the DNS record was updated today, and the following nameservers are setup:

NS.ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM
and NS2.ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM

ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM does not exist, so this could be PART of the problem, it could also be a typo and NS.ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM maybe should read:
NS1.ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM

Googles’s 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 do not show an entry for FR but other DNS servers I’ve tried do (as of right now).

It is definitely gone. What other forums can we use to get the word out?

> freerepublic.com.
Server: google-public-dns-b.google.com
Address: 8.8.4.4

*** google-public-dns-b.google.com can’t find freerepublic.com.: Non-existent domain

Could be any number of causes.

Try a complete reboot, including modem.

Yesterday morning I noticed my smartphone lost its WiFi. On further examination, I noticed that my laptop, TiVo also lost WiFi.

I had to reboot every peripheral, including the modem/router.

This happens occasionally when the cable company messes around and makes updates to the local system.

Since the reboot, everything has worked fine.
