They discuss the various possibilities that could result dependent on the methods for selecting delegates. Many states use more than one method in the selection of their state delegation. Examples are shown from the following states: CA, WI, MD, AL, PA,TN, GA, KS, SC & KY.

***California is one of the best states for candidates!*** On June 7, in California, candidates handpick their delegates to the convention. This ensures that delegates stay true to the voters’ wishes even when they are unbound.

If the GOP had any integrity, that is how every state delegate would be chosen. Now we learn that the majority of states have little interest in allowing republican voters to select a representative candidate.

GOPe message: GIVE us your TIME and your MONEY, but not your VOTE.

If Ted Cruz had any integrity he would not be trying to pack Trump delegations with stealth Cruz supporters.

I have to wonder at what point our dear gop leaders will stoop to outright buying the delegates.

And if this is how it works, there is no reason what so ever to pretend that we have primary elections. They can ‘select 2,472 delegates and have a private party at a Marriot Resort and they can select our next potus.

No need to waste hundreds of millions of dollars.
No need to spend a year on the campaign trail.
No need to take everyone’s hard earned donations.
No need to have volunteers sacrificing their time.
No need to jam the TV with non-stop terrible ads.
And, lest we forget...
No need for a young man to die traveling to the Iowa caucus to volunteer (Carson.)

What a wasted pathetic party we have pledged to support.
They want your time and your money, just not your vote!

GOPe needs your TIME and all your MONEY, just not your VOTE

The GOP, just like other corrupt bureaucracies (e.g., the EU), is rigged so that democracy is never of actual power.

It is all insiders for insider purposes and gain.

Your comment should be directed at the local GOP parties. They are the ones with the power to set the rules to allow full handpicked delegates by candidates.

California does it. So can the others.

Paul Manafort is a wizard and fixing this kind of problem and he now works for Trump.

He is described as maniacal at making sure delegate count is done right for his client.

You know, Trump just needs to go ahead and run third party.

If he’s going down, take the GOP with him. They deserve no less.

Grandpa Munster Cruz has zero integrity and this proves it. He is a skunk and not worthy of the good people who support him.

so much for “principled conservative”

what principles does Ted have again?

if he had any, he would demand these shenanigans stop

never ONCE have I heard a Trumpster ask that Donald lay into Texas or Utah and try and buy off votes or use some sort of underhanded method to sway delegates

and I am pretty sure, that we that support Trump would have no part of that sort of thing, and it would turn us off to him.

Most Trump supporters I talk to support him because he is for the average American who has no voice. If he were to stink up the elections in this manner, or if the GOP were to stink up the elections on his behalf, he would lose his luster and shine to us who support him.

But it seems, for those who like Cruz, it emboldens them. I’m not sure why, but they seem to relish in this nonsense.

A pox on both the GOP and Cruz for not disavowing it.

The real reason why Trump is losing delegates is because he is talking and people are listening.

Love all of the whining in this thread. “No fair!” “Wahhhh!” “Poor us!” “Mommy, he’s cheating!” Boo-freakin-hoo. I thought all you Trumpsters were tough-guy winners, not crybabies.

After the first vote, delegates must be free to vote for any eligible candidate. Otherwise, there would be a permanent deadlock. The problem is that the Cruz campaign is doing a much better job on the ground in each state making sure that Cruz supporters are selected as delegates.

According to Trump supporters, if any delegates that were pledged to Trump jump ship and vote for another candidate after the first vote, they are stealing the election from Trump.

On the other hand, if any delegates that were pledged to candidates other than Trump refuse to jump ship and vote for Trump after the first vote, they too are stealing the election from Trump.

Basically, if any of the delegates do not see the error of their ways and pledge their fealty to Trump, they are stealing the election from Trump.

So far, Trump has won approximately 37% of the votes cast. It is a very vocal and enthusiastic 37% and many have said that they will refuse to vote for anyone else. Meanwhile, most of the 63% of Republican voters that voted for someone other than Trump are refusing to come around and support Trump and many have said that they will refuse to ever vote for Trump.

So basically we are screwed and can look forward to at least 4 years of President Hillary, unless the pissed-off Republicans that refuse to vote for whoever gets the Republican nomination are substantially outnumbered by the pissed-off Bernie Sanders supporters that refuse to vote for Hillary.

If Cruz is the nominee, I won’t be voting for him. Especially since he can’t win without cheating. If our votes don’t count, then what’s the point of holding primaries? I’m done with the Republican party.
