Donald Trump continued his war with party bosses Sunday, once again saying that he wouldnt rule out a third-party run if he failed to secure the GOP nomination and demanding that rival John Kasich drop out of the race.
Were going to have to see how I was treated. Im going to have to see how I was treated. Very simple, Trump said on Fox News Sunday when asked if he would categorically rule out running as a third-party independent candidate if he failed to win his partys nomination. Its not a question of win or lose. Its a question of treatment. I want to be treated fair.
The comments came just days after Trump, Kasich and Ted Cruz backed out of pledges to support the GOPs eventual nominee. Following the walk-backs, Trump met privately with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus in an apparent effort to smooth things over, but on Sunday, the hot-and-cold relationship appeared on the verge of fracturing once again.
Those kinds of comments, I think, have consequences, Priebus said on ABCs This Week of Trumps latest remarks. When you make those kinds of comments, and you want people to fall in line for you, it makes it more difficult.
In yet another interview, Priebus admitted he wasnt sure whether he felt the former businessman was the partys best candidate.
I dont know, Priebus said on NBCs Meet the Press. Listen, I dont worry about who is the strongest candidate.
Further suggesting Trump was undeterred by the criticism were demands he made during a rally in Wisconsin whose pivotal primary on Tuesday will put for up grabs another 96 delegates that Kasich drop out of the GOP race.

Clinton says that the FBI “won’t find anything” when they interview her. She’s been out of touch for so long she has no grip on reality. When they FBI interviews you sweetie pie, it’s because they have already found something.
“I have voted Republican since 1980 and I am ready to jump ship if Trump is nominated. “
Same here.
What you don’t realize is that their a lot more like me than you.
The issues Trump is raising will be addressed or the Republican party is done.
Okay, a couple of school buses and a few of those short “special” buses.
Oh hell. The buses will all be “SPECIAL BUSES” by then.
Heh.
Jedi.
Treated fairly doesnt include being awarded the nomination...he has to get 1237 delegates the same as everyone else!!!
...............................................................
It DOESN’T include every GOPe “elite” jumping on the bandwagon to destroy Trump. Priebus needs to shut up and sit down. He’ll be toast when Trump wins, along with all the others like McConnell, Ryan, et al!
How dare you be logical? ;) Pretty good post.
I agree.
If North Carolina loses tonight because the referees force NC defenders to stand behind the free throw line and allow Villanova to make uncontested 3 point shots, then NC has a good case for calling it crooked.
If North Carolina loses because they simply don’t score as many points in a game played by the rules, then that’s something different.
IF the NCAA OFFICIAL ORGANIZATION comes on line before, during, and after the game and BAD MOUTHS North Carolina, sends hate mail to NC players, has an anti-NC cheering section, and enlists ALL broadcasters to attack NC in every comment, every interview, and every portrayal, THEN NC has a good case for questioning the integrity of the game.
IF the NCAA Organization changes rules in the middle of the game to hurt North Carolina’s chances, that too would seem like a huge lack of integrity.
North Carolina would be well within sound logic to say they’d start a new college basketball association the next year.
more and more here in this state of FL which is a vital win are now saying they will vote for Trump an d no one else as they feel cruz is helping the party and is not telling the truth and people are fed up of the lies and not answering questions.
......................................................
I’ll confirm that from my part of Florida.
Personally I will do a write in. But since the Trump squad itself is promising to jump ship if he’s not nominated I think they understand that there are alternatives. Some will go third party. Some will even vote for Hillary. Particularly the women. Trump has 73% negatives among women.
There's a Chinese curse..."May you live in interesting times".
Yup. Well said. Preibus whines about Trumps comments, but has no issue with GOP emissaries like Romney going out to trash Trump and urge candidates to split the vote and set up a brokered convention.
FUGOP
Donald J. Trump, Jr.
And we believe these leftist polls because...?
See #147
I think Trump is well within sound logic to run a 3rd party campaign GIVEN the lack of integrity in his treatment to this point.
*Yawn*
Logical fallacy: Ad hominem, moving the goalposts, changing the subject, argumentum ad verecundiam.
Grade: F.
Is this the best you can do, really?
“If hes not treated fairly (in my opinion), and if he has a solid plan to win ELECTORAL votes, then I will support Trump in a 3rd party run.”
After the GOP demanded Trump “swear” an oath not to run as an independent...the GOP has done everything they can to ruin Trump’s run. So much for GOP loyalty.
Nothing has done more to expose the fraud and self serving inbred interest of the GOP as this election has demonstrated. FU GOP.
Remember...when Clinton first won there was another interloper in the mix.
Ross Pee-rot. Perhaps history repeating itself...though not exactly. Pee-rot ran as some sort of independent I think.
Clinton won with 42%. I think that number is right.
It's like Pee-rot all over again. With better hair and smaller ears. And YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT FOLKS WITH SMALL EARS!
heh.
Jedi.
I’m with you.
I’ll support Trump over the GOP.
