Another Climate Alarmist Admits Real Motive Behind Warming Scare
Investor's Business Daily ^ | March 29, 2016 | Editorial

Fraud: While the global warming alarmists have done a good job of spreading fright, they haven’t been so good at hiding their real motivation. Yet another one has slipped up and revealed the catalyst driving the climate scare.

We have been told now for almost three decades that man has to change his ways or his fossil-fuel emissions will scorch Earth with catastrophic warming. Scientists, politicians and activists have maintained the narrative that their concern is only about caring for our planet and its inhabitants. But this is simply not true. The narrative is a ruse. They are after something entirely different.

If they were honest, the climate alarmists would admit that they are not working feverishly to hold down global temperatures — they would acknowledge that they are instead consumed with the goal of holding down capitalism and establishing a global welfare state.

The leaders of the environmentalist movement are watermelons: green on the outside, red on the inside.

The only difference between Bernie Sanders and environmentalist leaders is that Sanders is more honest about being a Socialist.

And Sanders is not as intelligent. The intelligent socialists hide what they really are, since if they were truthful about their goals and motives, they would only have a fraction of the support they do now.

The problem with the coming backlash against glowBULL warming is that it will probably take out legitimate laws and efforts fighting real pollution and not CO2 which is a nutrient for plant life everywhere..

Yep, IT started at the UN with Commie Maurice Strong of Canada.

A carbon tax would be lucrative for helping fund a Global Government to deliver nice things to those poorer nations that the wealthy nations harmed by their excessive creation of carbon gases.

Pretty slick ....right!

This effort gets a big boost when it’s endorsed by an ostensibly honest and spiritual man who guides a billion people and can provoke an uprising with a few inspiring sentences. Of course I mean the Pope. This is also a “first” in history, the Catholic Church on the side of the revolutionaries.

This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole,” said Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015. So what is the goal of environmental policy? “We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer.

It's a power grab - none of these 'elites' give a damn about 'the poor'... The poor are the horse to ride... period.

The current “Cosmos” crap with Neil DeGrasse Tyson is another pack of “I Know It All”.

Tyson and Freeman are being marketed as the new ‘Prophets of Man’ for the 21st Century. They just ‘happen’ to be black.

At least Tyson is supposed to be a scientist. Instead, he’s just another hack.

Wrong. Unless it is specific circumstances Catholics are not required to do what the Pope says. If our conscience tells us he is wrong then we are under no obligation to obey a Pope. Only exception is when he is speaking ex cathedra. I think that has only happened twice. The idea we have to obey the Pope in everything is a common canard against Catholics.

A carbon tax would be lucrative for helping fund a Global Government to deliver nice things to those poorer nations that the wealthy nations harmed by their excessive creation of carbon gases.

Oddly enough, many of those poorer nations are at tropical latitudes where they don't require much heat to keep from freezing to death.

I guess when you build a fire and boil water, you start seeing other things that can be done with the fire... and steam...and develop technology just not necessary elsewhere.

Considering that poorer nations cook over open fires with no emissions control, on a per BTU basis, I would wager their energy consumption is far filthier than those regions which may consume a lot more energy, but tend to do so far more efficiently.

This would amount to penalizing those who are using their energy efficiently and with lower emissions per BTU in favor of those who are not doing that at all.

In short, the money will be taken from those doing it right and given to those who do not, on the assumption that those who do not are somehow harmed by those doing things right.

Nope, not happening, no see-gar.

The problem is that a lot of Catholics do believe it and can’t make the distinction in their own consciences!

Huh? I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about? I never said, nor do I claim, Catholics must obey the pope in everything. And I do understand the meaning of Ex Cathedra (but I’m not sure you do).

Perhaps you are another one of these Literalists who seem to be so numerous among the Catholics on FR, with their dour and judgmental criticisms giving our Faith a bad name more than any rantings about “ideas” ever could.
