A huge swarm of bees surrounded people at the Muslim Community Mosque in Phoenix, Arizona, in a terrifying moment caught on video.
At least 20 people were stung Friday, Phoenix Fire Department spokeswoman Ardell Deliz told ABC News.
One person -- a 24-year-old man -- was transported to the hospital in stable condition, Deliz said.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and sprayed the area with a foam that calms the insects, but Deliz said it took at least a few hours until a bee keeper could come remove them.

Might have been Africanized bees.
Doubtful they were yellow jackets... I’ve been stung multiple times by multiple yellow jackets... the sting is less severe than bees.

Honey bees don’t usually swarm unless you directly disturb the nest/queen. Sounds like something an African bee would do or some variety of hornet. Any bee type critter will get upset if trapped in clothing or if people panic and begin to swat at them, slap or crush them.

Honey has added much more to our existence than islam has or ever will. Much better for your health too! I hope they foamed/moved the hive of dangerous muslims and kept the bees where they were.

I have been stung once by a yellow jacket in my adult years and numerous times by honey bees as a child because I loved going barefoot despite my mother’s admonitions. And I must disagree with your assessment. Yellow jacket was the worst.
Maybe individuals respond to the venom differently. Also, I’m a female so there are more pain receptors in the skin.
Honey bees, unlike their African cousins aren’t that aggressive. Hornets and wasps however tend to be very aggressive.
Curious, because the once incident I got nailed about 20 times by the yellow jackets... individually each sting didn’t seem as bad as a bee sting, but I’ve never gotten stung by more than one bee at a time.

I would agree. Hornets and yellow jackets hurt. I was moving some irrigation pipe and one flew up my shorts (it was hot and I was going commando) and stung me three times on the back of my scrotum. Not only did I get stung, I hate to smack myself in the nuts multiple time to kill the goddamn thing. Lots of swelling - bad day all around. Then my f’ing boss wants to know why I’m not hustling. Prick.
