What an original excuse for being BLIND TO THE TRUTH.
Legally, “assault” does not need to mean “intention to do harm” (actually, the “proper” legal term, I think, is “battery,” but I’m using assault since that’s what everyone else is using). For instance, if you were in a situation involving police officers, and you did something seemingly innocent like just putting your hand on an officer’s shoulder, you could be charged with assaulting a police officer. No need to actually do anything harmful or offensive.
Huh? Neither of those have anything to do with what I said.
Last night on O’Reilly a Trump spokesperson said exactly what I wrote. His response was to Fields original lie, which is where the edited transcript in 82 comes from.
