“Back to the my original point, for Trump to go to Wisconsin and say he loves Wisconsin, and then go to Illinois and trash Walker and Wisconsin to the state with the $40 trillion dollar long term unfunded debt) , when most Illinoisians ENVIED Wisconsin’s position, was stupid. politically stupid. Morally Stupid. Stupid Stupid.”
You mean like Trump going into the heart of “I love GW Bush” land South Carolina and trashing him and having every establishment snob in the state going against him. Do I need to remind you what happened? He blew away lying Ted Cruz and stomped the rest of the field and won EVERY DELEGATE in the state! Or do we want to talk about him winning Florida by 20 points, stomping the living hell out of both the Cuban cabana boys.
S4. Do you currently live within Milwaukee city limits?
Yes 70.1%
No 29.9%
2b. What are the chances that you will vote in the April 5 elections — are you absolutely certain to vote, very likely to vote, are the chances 50-50, or don’t you think you will vote?
Absolutely certain 68.1%
“If the GOPe is forced to line up under Cruz's banner”
You are definitely on another planet.
“Is Trump you only hope?”
Sessions is not going to get anything. He is black listed. I have no idea in DeMint. The GOPe will put in a Bush type candidate. I say Hell No.
I’ll take the Optimus poll with 6,182 polled vs. Marquette did their last poll with only a tiny 297 (likely same small sample size here) polled in comparison.

I would not be surprised if they tried to do that, but I'll wait and see before I get determined to be disappointed.
Principals Over Politicians!
7.5 MOE?
7.5!?
JEEZ, I could do a better poll in my SLEEP!
What a load of BS.
And yet if you try to find out who runs or past performance of the Optimus poll on the internet you get zilch.
Chuckle are you want Quigley. The opponents of Trump have 5,000,000 more votes that Trump. He is the weakest “front runner” we have ever had, weaker than Romney. And when he gets to the convention without the majority of delegates, you can rest assured that he will not be nominated. Now, will Cruz? I honestly don’t know. But I know that the Cruz forces are working for a 2nd ballot victory. It is not dirty, it is the way the system works, and has worked since the beginning of the two parties.
I am afraid Cruz has too high negatives. if trump goes down, so should Cruz, there is simply no way to unite ex-trump folks behind him. Same is true for his plank, it does not appeal across party lines. The only caveat to that is if he gets the magic 1237, I think a lot of Trump folks would pull the handle for him.
Not to say the same is not true of trump. But it might be easier for folks to accept him if he reaches the magic 1237 mark. That said his negatives are way too high as well, though he seems to have the cross over appeal in states the republicans have to turn.
If neither of those two get it, the only chance the GOP has is a plank similar if not identical to Trumps and a GOP governor who can unite the party.
No one associated with the Washington GOP really stands a chance.
He’s his own advisor. And both of your stated possibilities are true.
>>Look for Cruz to pull some of Kasichs supporters.<<
One of the commercials running is titled “Math” and simply makes the point that only Cruz can stop Trump, that a vote for Kasich is effectively a vote for Trump. It could be having an effect.
Kasich is Trump’s best asset. Maybe Donald has already offered him something to stay the course?
from the poll...
Results for the Republican primary are based on 471 likely voters who say they are certain they will vote in the Republican primary in April. That sample has a margin of error of +/-5.8 percentage points.
>>No, it means Cruz wins.<<
There’s definitely a case to be made that the powers that be in the GOP might take advantage of an open convention and attempt to nominate an establishment figure, but I doubt it will happen.
While most Trump supporters in here would likely disagree with me on this, I’m reasonably certain that the vast majority of Trump voters (not overt supporters in forums like this, but just voters generally) would be fine with Cruz as the nominee. The reverse, however, isn’t true. A very large chunk of Cruz supporters (and Kasic/Rubio/etc.) supporters will never, ever, cast a vote for Donald Trump. Trump’s supporters really don’t appreciate the amount of resistance to putting “The Donald” in the Oval Office, even among GOP voters.
But, because most Trump voters will easily accept Cruz, there will be a huge majority for Cruz aligned against the GOP establishment should it attempt to nominate a different person.
Summing up, either Trump wins on the first ballot, or the nominee will be Ted Cruz.
Didn’t say it was dirty, it’s how you elect Clinton.
Another fan for Hillary for Prez I see.
