The police report says the investigating officer found probable cause. The police officer signed the report. A copy of that is posted around here somewhere.
That was before it went to a DA or prosecutor or judge or heck a brain surgeon.
So when a policeman searches a car because they saw drugs on the seat. Does that mean they had to go to the DA to get probable cause? Or when they see a fleeing suspect enter a home, so they follow them into the home. Did they stop to call the DA? Perhaps they called a brain surgeon?
A policeman is charged with the duty of arresting or NOT arresting someone on the spot. A PROSECUTION is not a policeman matter. You are dumber than dirt. But most of us knew that a long time ago : )
Probable cause is not prosecution
Probable cause means NOTHING until someone in authority acts. Ask your own DA.
It means the cops can file charges which will then be referred over to a prosecutor.
It sure seems to mean something when cops arrest people.

I’d like to send an “open letter” or request to all Cruz supporters on Free Republic: Would it be possible for all Cruzers to start a thread or join in on an existing thread on the subject of the Fields incident, and let us hear you join in with Cruz, Levin, et al, in describing in your own words Fields’ innocence and describe the violent crime Corey committed and Trump’s responsibility for it or the culture that led to it? I am serious. Cruzers are very outspoken on almost everything else; I’d like to know that they get behind their team on Fields being battered by Trump’s manager.
