The police report says the investigating officer found probable cause. The police officer signed the report. A copy of that is posted around here somewhere.
That was before it went to a DA or prosecutor or judge or heck a brain surgeon.
So when a policeman searches a car because they saw drugs on the seat. Does that mean they had to go to the DA to get probable cause? Or when they see a fleeing suspect enter a home, so they follow them into the home. Did they stop to call the DA? Perhaps they called a brain surgeon?
