MEMRI: Arab world self-criticism in wake of Brussels attacks
inn ^ | 3/29/16 | Hillel Fendel

Posted on 03/29/2016 7:04:53 PM PDT by Nachum

Following the Islamic jihadist terrorist attacks in Brussels last week that killed 35 and wounded over 300, the Arab press reacted with blame for the West and certain countries in the region for supporting terrorism.

A columnist for the Palestinian Authority (PA) daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, for instance, wrote recently that ISIS lacks the power and ability to carry out massive attacks like those in Paris and Brussels, and that they were actually orchestrated by Israel, using ISIS as a tool.

Now, however, MEMRI – the Middle East Media Research, based in Washington, D.C. – reports on several noteworthy and self-critical articles in the Arab media blaming Muslim and Arab culture for suicide bombers and horrific terror attacks.

** The first one is entitled, "We Have Failed Indeed," and is written by the editor of the London-based Saudi daily Al-Hayat. The article attacks the Arabs and Muslims for, in MEMRI's summation, "sowing destruction and fear in the very same European countries that had agreed to take them in after they had fled their failed countries.

"Are we simply part of this world, or are we perhaps an explosive charge implanted in [this world's] entrails?" asks the author. "Are we a normal neighborhood in the global village, or are we maybe a neighborhood of suicide bombers in [that village]? … Are we part of the world's present and future, or are we a dark tempest that seeks to send [the world] back to the caves that it abandoned when it chose the path of progress and human dignity?

Introspection is difficult and this is pretty accurate.

The world should be smart enough to learn from history. Isis and it's ilk should be treated like the nazis and the japs were in WWII. They should be annihilated until they give up completely and have zero forces to threaten anyone ever again. If that doesn't work then we go full on 2nd Crusades (this time the real deal).

Still they want to make any problems? NUKED FROM SPACE (just to be sure)

..Yes, Yes, and ummm, Yes....

Yes, yes, and with no hesitation, yes. Islam, the way of life. is a fraud created by MoeHamHead to legitimize his severe character faults, from lying, to pedophilia, and murder. And the same goes for his imaginary friend, Allah.

This is a true Muslim feminist hero.

"The world is seeking the best way to evade the throngs of refugees that we are sending, and the waves of suicide [terrorists] that are arriving from our territory and culture. The world treats us today as the source of peril to its security, progress, democracy and stability. The only solution remaining to us is to acknowledge this comprehensive and resounding failure, this terrible collapse. We must start from scratch, like a city devastated by a deadly earthquake. Continuing to hide behind lies and fallacies will [only] prolong our stay in the caves.

Trump effect... Finally someone is speaking the truth to Muslims... and the truth is the res of us are getting tired of this crap... If you make a hellhole culture you can sleep in that hellhole culture and not feed off the goodness of the rest of us.

First time in my lifetime I’ve seen this debate within the Islamic community.

This seems to be a ‘Westernized’ source, but yesterday or the day before, Egypt had this sort of debate taking place there.

That’s pretty amazing actually. It’s a dialogue long overdue.

Supporting the irrefutable contention that these people are not only stunningly stupid, they are mentally ill, as well.

“The world treats us today as the source of peril to its security, progress, democracy and stability.”

That’s because you are

“The only solution remaining to us is to acknowledge this comprehensive and resounding failure, this terrible collapse.”

No, it’s not. We have a solution and its measured in kilotons.

When Arabs make hellhole cultures they can sleep and live in those hellhole cultures. Don't come to American or Europe to feed off the goodness and success of our countries.

Your welcome is wearing out - your rudeness, bad manners and violent ways are offensive. Stay in your hellholes if you can't figure out a way to be respectful guests. Leave us.

Islam is where the world of Christianity was 400 or 500 years ago. Hopefully they will not need 300 years to come to their senses.

The alternative is just as deadly and much more certain.

Their choice.

I’m not sure, did we execute the victims of rape?

We were marrying off children of single digit ages?

Were we lining up hundred or thousands of people and shooting them dead, then burying them in graves they dug themselves?

While I do think Christianity has some things to answer for, that certainly remind of some some of this, I think Islam went way way farther to the dark side.

Today they are indiscriminately killing civilians on a whim.

I think you’re painting with too broad a brush there.

The Arab world swirls with complex conspiracy theories about who is behind this or that, and who’s going to do the next this or that. The last thing they would ever do is inspect themselves for corruption, criminality or incompetence.

The conspiracies are all traceable to one common suspect: The Jews.

Note two things:
1. The reformation in Christianity aimed to "go back to the original ways" -- i.e. re-forming ad novum. In Christianity's case, the beginnings were peaceful (let's ignore the theological questions now) and Jesus Christ was peaceful, full of love. Islam on the other hand began with violence and Mo was a bandit, child molester, murderer etc.

2. Islam already had this reformation in the 1700s with the rise of the Wahabbis -- who now hold sway over most of the Sunni world
