Sen. Ted Cruz joined the Sean Hannity Show on Monday night where he covered a lot of ground in an extensive interview. Cruz was asked about the National Enquirer sex scandal allegations and he said “only one side has been firing,” while continuing to blame the Trump Campaign, though offering no proof. Cruz agreed that families of candidates should be off-limits.
Cruz was asked in the interview if he thinks Donald Trump supporters will unify around him if he takes the nomination at a contested GOP Convention. He didn’t immediately say they would but said he believed eventually many would unify with him.

I have a lot of respect for Cruz based on his actual testimony in front of the Supreme Court (nine times - read the transcripts) and his actual votes as a US Senator. However, I think he’s a bit optimistic on the convention, that or cheerleading to encourage the delegates to consider him.
I would be surprised if the two strongest players at a contested convention, if that happens, were Trump and Cruz. My guess if it’s contested? Trump loses a third of his votes for the second ballot, and Cruz loses more. Dishonest delegates who lied to get picked will follow whatever incentives they are offered. Honest delegates and those chosen to represent state interests will follow the fatherly guidance of the party elders. The establishment will want to show that neither is even moving toward a majority, so they “had to” pick a compromise candidate - an insider who supports Amnesty, Obamacare, abortion, and generally ignoring the party base.
Cruz supporters who say “Never Trump” should think about whether they prefer Trump or Kasich. I did, and I’ll be voting Trump, even though I prefer Cruz. Trump supporters who follow the “Lying Ted” nonsense, should ask themselves who their second choice is if it’s not Cruz. Imagine Trump is for whatever reason not going to continue as a candidate. Carson is gone. Walker is gone. Who is your second choice if not Cruz?

I don’t “support” any of these jokers. I mildly favor Trump because there is at least a slight chance he is enough of an outsider to disrupt the course into tyranny we are on - a little bit. But I’m not going to pretend there is a Jefferson or Madison among them.
Hasn’t cruz back pedaled on supporting Trump if he gets the nomination? Yet, he expects Trumps supporters to back him?
I have not for eight years opposed having a foreign born president in the White House just to turn around and say it is ok because he has an R after his name.

Up until his blaming Trump for the paid agitators in Chicago, I may, may have held my nose and voted for him... but his actions from that point forward have made it impossible for me to vote for him ever..
