Times Square in New York City was evacuated due to a bomb scare Monday, multiple outlets have reported.
After reports trickled out that a suspicious package had been found in the area, police moved to evacuate the square and have reportedly dispatched a bomb squad to investigate the object in question.

I got out in time. Was just down there and several streets were closed off. Fire trucks grouped around on 8th Avenue. Traffic at more than the usual standstill. No one would tell me what the problem was except one cop said Marriott. Lots of gawkers standing around watching.

Glad all is clear. On a side note, a Glenn Beck segment popped into my head. He or one of his co-hosts once suggested that a gay bar open up next to the proposed Ground Zero mosque and be named Suspicious Packages. Lol!
