Kasich Campaign Pulls Ads From Wisconsin Radio: Drop-Out Incoming?
The Ring of Fire Network ^ | March 28, 2016 | The Ring of Fire Network

Late Monday morning, Wisconsin conservative radio host Charles Sykes made the announcement via Twitter that the Kasich campaign ordered an immediate pull of all radio campaign ads from Wisconsin markets.

BREAKING: Kasich campaign immediately pulling all radio ads from Wisconsin markets.

— Charles Sykes (@SykesCharlie) March 28, 2016

With rumors swirling that candidate John Kasich is running woefully short on cash in a race he has no mathematical chance of winning, it would not be particularly surprising to see Kasich dropping out.

As recently as Sunday, Kasich said that calls for him to drop out by competitor Ted Cruz were “absurd,” but is it possible that he has had a change of heart (or maybe wallet)?

Maybe instead of dropping out, this pull of ad revenue is a sign that Kasich acknowledges that he has no chance in Wisconsin and is trying to reserve funding for more competitive markets?

What are they allowed to do with all that leftover cash if they withdraw? (or ‘suspend’)

Are they allowed to pay themselves a salary until it runs out?

The Koch opposition to Trump is a myth.

“I think the original plan was for Kasich to drop out and Cruz stay in,”

I think they want them both in there. Cruz is there to yank votes away from people likely to vote Trump if Cruz wasn’t there. Kasich is still there as the moderate insurance policy should someone not like Cruz but might vote for Trump. They’re not concerned about winning at all ... they just want to insure Trump doesn’t hit the magic number at this point.

They’re both going to be discarded like trash should they prevent Trump from reaching 1237.

Kasich? chance of winning in PA????? what about his ballot signature shortfall? He won’t even be on the ballot in PA, if Trump has his way.

The odds of Kasich actually getting out are quite low. His 66 Ohio delegates would automatically go to Trump. He may suspend his run so he, like Rubio could hold on to their delegates until the convention and hope to work a deal.
I have run several scenarios and Trump most likely goes over the top with some to spare on June 7th. Trump will likely get close to two thirds of the remaining delegates. My estimate is 64%. He needs about 55%. And what is up with Missouri still not allocating all the delegates yet?

The strategy isn’t to win, it’s to deny Trump as many delegates as possible.

He’s moving the money to where it has the best chance to win delegates.

I’m just curious, in light of establishment endorsements and establishment money, and that his staying in virtually ensures a brokered convention with Bush or Romney as the nominee, twhy do you still support Cruz? I am not asking this to be mean, I just want to know.

It appears to me that Cruz’ interpretation of the constitution is pretty flexible; Article II, I, 5 for example is endlessly flexible to the point of meaninglessness!

Kasich and Cruz are just GOPe stand-ins to stop Teump from the majority of delegates. The back maneuvering now is a brokered convention where Ryan will be the nominee and Kasich will probably be VP. They see the battle over independents and Democrats who do not like Hillary. They consider the conservatives in the GOP the same way the Democrats consider blacks. They have no where else to go and will fall in line when the time comes.

We had a chance to take down the GOPe but the Cruz could not see the reasoning it was more important to take down the GOPe than fight what they saw as the principled battle.

If Kasich pulling ads from Wisconsin, means he thinks Cruz can beat Trump there and in some oddball way, bolster his goofy ass cause heading into the convention.

Check your premises. If you encounter a contradiction, then it means one or more of your premises is wrong.

It ain’t over and WFB said vote for the most conservative candidate who can win. If it is a contested convention it will be between Cruz and Trump and ANY chance for Ted getting the nomination is worth any risk.
I’m a TEA Party constitutional conservative and have followed Ted since he became the junior Senator of Texas.
I know him and I know his record so of course I derisively dismiss all the lies, smears and hate thrown at him.
I agree with Rush Limbaugh that Ted Cruz is the closest thing we have to Ronald Reagan and Ted’s 97% Conservative Review Liberty Score is only surpassed by Utah Sen Mike Lee’s 100%.
Plus, I thoroughly enjoyed his gripping rendition of the Dr Seuss classic “Green Eggs and Ham” on the senate floor as he heroically stood alone shutting down the government in his attempt to fulfill his promise to scuttle Obamacare.
Not since Sebastian Cabot of “Winnie The Pooh” fame has there been a better reader of children’s books.

Maybe DC elites have decided to back Ryan or Walker... since they’re not going to choose anyone who ran for President they might as well go with a favorite.

IMHO the elites want a reliable elite like Romney/Ryan, but they need a brokered to get the cutouts. All the other one contesting so far except maybe Jebula were merely to get votes away from Trump.

If Trump can get the 1237 the elites will have a very hard time stealing it.

The 'new normal' - - an assumption American political parties represent corrupt elites and that the people's Herculean task is to attempt to overcome their power - every now and then...

Like being in the USSR 50 years ago... our little vote against the corrupt machine.

Both political parties are evil to the very core.

G. Washington warned about the evil of political parties, that power would be held by a few, and the people would have none. That is the situation now. We’re all realizing it at this time. I hate the R party now worse than I’ve hated the Dems, since the Ds at least are open about what they want to do.

This election is make it or break it. If the fiends steal it from Trump, then the US deserves whatever it will get. IMHO there are so many tens of millions of seriously angry Americans I can’t imagine what will happen if they steal the nomination from Trump.
