While it is not undeniable evidence that something more than a professional relationship took place between Amanda Carpenter and her former boss, Senator Ted Cruz, the prompt cleaning up of her social media account did not go unnoticed by some and is now leading to yet further speculation as to the potential validity regarding allegations of somewhat recent sexual relations between Mr. Cruz and women outside of his marriage.
This now-deleted tweet is perhaps the most interesting of the bunch:

Yes - he was adamant that it couldn’t be true, BUT if it was just one affair he would forgive him. Serial adulterer = he claims he would drop support.
For all intents and purposes this story still has zero legs until Drudge gets in. And apparently he is waiting for something else to happen. I mean, he’s got Bill snorting coke stories on the top of the page this morning...he’s certainly not waiting for more sources....

I have yet to see any facts of note. All I have seen is sliming, innuendo, allusion, and speculation.
Unless you Cruz haters can come up with something a LOT better than the nonsensical crap you have come up with so far, this is going to blow back on Trump big time.

There is just one affair and Beck knows it, that’s why he lowered his bar to allow for it. The prostitutes won’t count either because they are not actual ‘affairs’

I doubt he will fold. He’d be no kind of man to fold in the face of such blatant character assassination and lying. If anyone will fold over this it’s Trump. It’s SO clear that his minions shopped this to NE as a gift, and Trump’s buddy bit on it.
And why not, slander and innuendo is his stock in trade. If I were Cruz, I’d have detectives on this until I had proof of who concocted and planted this story and then I would sue them, not the NE.
The last thing Cruz should do is to let the bastards win.

That is the essential fact that none of the Cruz supporters can refute. If there were nothing to the NE story, why did Carpenter immediately start scrubbing her Twitter?
If my name came up as the paramour of a candidate and I wasn’t the paramour of a candidate, there would be nothing to scrub.
Cruz will certainly resist folding longer than most. He’s very brazen. He came right out on FOX yesterday and stated that Roger Stone is currently employed by Trump, and that he, Cruz, publicly condemned the Melania ad the instant he saw it/became aware of it.
Two big, bald faced lies to add to all his others. He’s certainly getting more reckless.
From my POV, there are two very disparate groups of people watching this unfold. First, true believers who are convinced that Cruz is the personification of integrity. Second, people with considerable experience with Cruz’ personality type.
What type, you no doubt demand.
And I can assuredly answer. I refer to the type of person raised by a grandiose alcoholic, who from an early age has been told that he is special and unique.
Cruz’ father has saddled his son not only with the handicap all children raised in an alcoholic environment carry into adulthood; he’s also convinced Ted he is an anointed king—if not the anointed king.
The end result is a narcissistic Adult Child who lies, rewrites history, indulges himself to excess, and is eventually destroyed by his addictive dysfunctional behavior.
I know you believe none of that. You can’t; it’s too disruptive to your current world view. That’s a given.
But just bear it in mind. The day will come when it will all make sense, God willing you should live that long. [Or it may not take that long; time will tell.]

A perfect example of Cruz’s laxity with truth happened on Fox News yesterday in an interview. As anyone who has listened to Trump knows, Trump came out for realigning our relationship with NATO in terms of a more equitable sharing of finances and troop commitments. It’s what Trump said. I heard him myself.
Cruz presents that casually as Trump says that we should end our relationship with NATO.
He does this misrepresentation thing so often on just about every issue that I find it almost impossible to listen to him anymore.
At some point, repeated misrepresentation is the same as bald-faced lying.
Yes, I too have heard Cruz” shameless lies re Trump and NATO. Almost more amazing is when Cruz falsely claims that Trump supports the Iran deal. Trump has rabidly opposed it consistently from the beginning. Cruz twists that so he, Cruz, is the one against and Trump is the one in favor of it.
It’s almost psychotic.
I have heard the Iran misdirection from Cruz, too. He, the man who voted for the Corker bill, says that Trump supports the deal. Why? Because Trump says he wants to look at it first.
Why? I imagine because it (a) has secret provisions, and (b) has provisions not being enforced, so, THEREFORE, could be abrogated LEGALLY.
Cruz will never say this, though. The same way he’ll never say: “Since marriage I have never had sexual intercourse with anyone except my wife, Heidi.” He just says that it’s a slime that he’s had those 5 pictured mistresses. Which is true if he had different ones, 4 of the 5, or only casual sex, thereby playing games with the word mistress being an affair of duration and commitment.
So in Beck’s warped mind, one affair he will forgive but not a one night stand with a hooker? Try telling that to someone’s wife, Beck!!! These people .... sick!!!
He’s a lawyer so he hasn’t denied anything, just said it was Trump and his cronies behind this!-)

If that’s the most incriminating tweet then there is nothing incriminating here, except that it seems Trumps claim that he had nothing to do with the story are false inasmuch as his people are trying to make something out of it.
