...TRUMP: Totally. I had nothing to do with the campaign had nothing to do with it. Hes got a problem with The National Enquirer. I have no control over The National Enquirer. I had no idea about the story. I just got it last night. I had nothing to do whatsoever with The National Enquirer, neither did the campaign. For him to say I had to do with it, try and put the shoe on the other foot is disgraceful. And by the way, Hes the one that started it. From what I hear, he and his campaign went out and bought the cover shoot. Melania did a cover shoot for GQ a very strong modeling picture. No big deal. But it was a cover shoot for GQ a big magazine. And it was, you know, fine and, if from what I hear, he was the one, or his campaign bought the rights and give it to the super PAC. That super PAC is friendly to Ted Cruz. He started it. I didnt.

If GQ republished the whole line of photos, that is their business of course, since they hold rights to the pictures as well as Verglas and Melania. If one of those photos were lifted from the net by a PAC or campaign and used in a political advertisement, then legal troubles begin.
I wrote the darn post! You are approaching double maroon-hood.
Or...GQ sold rights they did not possess. Either way it changes the storyline and the focus, gives the press and the pundits another chew toy to play with. BOOM!
Now he’s got everybody hating him. Quite an achievement.
Understand.
Which puts you there as well, I guess, for lack of reading comprehension. Lighten up Francis.
Lighten up Francis.
While you may or may not be a Maroon (or double Maroon, I can’t remember which)...I am in no way a talking mule. My ears are not big and my lips are normal human sized lips as well as my teeth...
You're Donald Trump. You know all the details, you've got access to actual documents. You pick up the phone and make some calls, or one of your lawyers does. Her contract is with the photographer. He says, I sold limited rights. Somebody is in trouble.
The only people talking now are those who know they did nothing wrong. So far that's only the photographer. Everyone else is in CYA mode. But again, it does give the press and the pundits (and the public) a new chew toy to occupy their time.
Trump is staying out of it..
he commented, and left it at that on Friday
He should be a gentleman and send Heidi a bouquet of condolence flowers...
All Trump has to say, is “this is between Ted and his wife”
And Cruz attackers her and insinuated she is a slut. FUTC.
Civil penalties for damages and damage to reputation. If a company like GQ especially is known to ignore contracts it hurts their ability to obtain talent. If the PAC didn’t have rights that’s copyright infringement.

You were in the service.
I heard that all the time and had forgotten about the phrase. :)
Let me honest the photo itself is no more provocative than some Renaissance painting.. there are painting in the Vatican that are more provocative
it not hardcore porn........
its not even cable tv only
you can show it on regular tv... with no bars blurring anything....
It was the text added to make it an attack ad ...and who it was meant for, old-school Mormons who think showing the elbows is a sin ....to smear Trumps wife as some kind of “harlot”...
They even describe this as they are trying to “shame” her
Your PAC which is discontinued by the time it goes to court is sued and has to pay with it's non-existent funds.
I believe it would be coordination between a PAC and a campaign, which brings a whole new set of legal issues.
The problem with that? It appears Cruz’s campaign manager is the source of the dirty tricks.
its like “you knew me.. you knew me well enough to watch your kids..then you trying to insinuate I'm some kind of slut in a public ad for a few votes” ?
I laugh at posts like yours. I remember a whole load of FReepers having a cow because Gingrich was divorced and, OMG!, he sat on a couch next to Pelosi! Look at what FReepers are now defending.....Irony is enjoyable.
They really seem to like her.
