Another angle/issue: that of equating criticism of Israel to anti-Semitism. It is one that personally annoys me.
It is imo a lazy and cheap argument. One can criticise Israel without remotely being anti-Semitic. Criticism of Israel is political, anti-Semitism is an ugly form of racial-ethnic-religious hatred. I support Israel, but I reserve the right to criticise it if necessary. I despise anti-Semitism.
