MEET SOUTH CAROLINA'S ANTI-TRUMP DOUBLE AGENTS
POLITICO ^ | 3/26/16 | Kyle Cheney and Katie Glueck

Posted on 03/26/2016 10:11:45 AM PDT by windhover

"Donald Trump triumphed in South Carolina's primary last month. Now, the state could be ground zero for his undoing."

"Ted Cruz and John Kasich are aggressively mobilizing allies to recruit and elect their own South Carolina loyalists to the national Republican --scheduled for late July in Cleveland."

"All 50 of South Carolina's delegates are duty-bound to support Trump on a first vote, but interviews with two dozen prospective delegates and Party insiders, including several Trump backers-- reveal a widespread belief that Cruz and Kasich will succeed in wresting the delegation away from Trump if the nomination fight heads to a second ballot. If Trump is unable to claim the nomination immediately, South Carolina could help tip the scales away from the New York billionaire."

If you’re still in the race, you use whatever levers are at hand.

Politicians are self-aggrandizing whores. And they're too dumb to figure out why they are hated.

Sen. Goldman Cruz, when not whoring,
pays blackmail fees to past GFs,
to saboteurs within the GOP,
and who knows what else.

Americans must not vote the GOP which
are already liars and and the
originators of ObamaCARE,
which (no surprise) they kept,
and kept THEMSELVES EXEMPT.

Conservative Party Only.
Accept no more phonies.

“There is something seriously amiss in SC. Look at their Senators and Congressmen, they are almost all Cheap Labor Express stooges.”

And the SC Governor is shameless as well - every bit a traitor as the others.

“It would be political malpractice to be doing anything else. If you’re still in the race, you use whatever levers are at hand.”

To a sociopath, yes. To someone who repects the role of the voter, no.

No, this is nothing more than pure cheating and the effect will be no different at the convention if the just blatantly cheated.

GOPe/ Cruz ( clearly a part of it) and Kasich better watch out or they will witness a rebellion like they have never seen.

Is it because the American people don’t understand “cheap labor express” or “stooges”?

No. Our representatives no longer represent what is good and right about our citizens; they represent the worst in us.

Nonsense, and it is precisely this attitude which has landed Trump, not Cruz, in the driver’s seat. People are sick to death of these games.

Im in with you on that

what is that people pissed off to no end is the powers that be playing games and cheat the public out of their vote

truth be told both sides the Dem and GOP Elites are playing the same game

I don’t like Sanders but Sanders is cleaning Hillary’s clock (the Dem base really doesn’t like Hillary they know she’s a crook.. and not the usual crook they like) the Dem Elites are playing the same game over there to deny Sanders his Win.... Hillary is the Dems elites pic ...just like Jeb was the Republican elites pic

But also as usual the Dem leadership’s is better at being crooked

Our one blessing is the GOPe is still at its core... is incompetent ... even at being corrupt... there incompetent

the GOP was competent crooks like the Dems ...we would have Jeb Bush right now as the nominee

but with the public on both sides so alienated from the respective party leadership this is going to be one crazy-ass election

if it came down to a Sanders vs Trump contest... the two-party Outsiders?...all bets are off.... every conventional wisdom you ever thought of would be out the window as who’s going to line up with who

I have a question.....a serious one and please none of thse attacks.. WHO is behind this story from Politico?? What TRUTH is there in this article? Does anyone know from the CRUZ camp if this is a FACT?

This is a election cycle and garbage is being printed and many of us are being gullable enough to swallow some of it.

I just want to know for a FACT that CRUZ is trying to " steal" delagates promised to Trump...

Cruz has said that he would NOT support a Brokered Convention.

If Cruz does not get enough votes, and Trump does, Trump gets the nomination... ...and I am a AVID CRUZ supporter...

Same here, and Trump will get the nomination if he has enough bound delegates . . . but only if the convention is decided on the first ballot. If Trump does not win on the first ballot, all bets are off. I disapprove philosophically - delegates bound to the leading candidate should stay bound well beyond the first ballot. I also disapprove because I am a practical and patriotic person. When it comes to organization, Cruz is the top candidate this year (and candidate have done this sort of undermining with stealth delegates for generations, as generally accepted in political games as bluffing is in poker), but when it comes to sleaze, Cruz is an amateur. The party establishment will win the battle over undermining delegates and take the nomination away from both Trump and Cruz if the convention goes beyond the first ballot.

I'll be voting Trump in my primary because I'd rather see my #2 choice win on the first ballot than watch both of my top choices lose in the maneuvers and see someone who supports Amnesty, supports Obamacare, and says "bake the cupcake" rather than speaking in favor of religious liberty take the nomination.

Ryan... another pro illegals guy... well that’s the main thing for the GOPe and it’s big money supporters have to that cheap foreign labor.... ...

Really the GOPe motto should be: Death to the uppity Middle Class American... sit down, shut up, do what you’re told, we run this show

with what going on.. Who do the Anyone but Trump people go to?

Good question. If the NE affair accusations prove true and either force Cruz to immediately end his campaign or relegate him to Kasich level support if he stays in the race, then I don't see the GOPe stopping Trump from getting the 1,237 delegates needed for the first ballot nomination. I can't see Kasich gaining any significant support if these allegations force Cruz to exit the race.

The GOPe may try a Hail Mary and get Romney to formally enter the race with the goal of winning enough delegates in these later states to deny Trump the 1,237 delegates needed for the nomination and force a brokered convention.

Good to know that “anti-establishment” Cruz is another hack politician controlled and bankrolled by the very establishment elites we’re supposed to be defeating. Don’t worry Ted. We won’t forget what you did this year. If you survive this brewing scandal a good many of us will be donating to your primary challenger in two years, that is unless your puppetmasters have other plans for you.

As a Trump supporter I thank you. I agree, I just want an honest & fair election. If Cruz wins the nomination fairly, congrats to him & his supporters.

May the best man win:)
