HBO host Bill Maher argued that “it’s not one small slice” of Muslims who hold extremist beliefs, and President Obama’s claims to the contrary are pulled “right out of his a**” on Friday’s “Real Time.”
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (D) said, “ISIS is a narrow, and far extreme sect of the wide band of the Muslim religion, the Islamic religion, to — and this gets back probably to your previous conversation, and the point you’ve been making a lot, I think, on this show, is, why not say ‘Islamic terrorism?’ However, we’ve got a huge number of moderate Muslims, not just in this country, but elsewhere, who don’t like that term, and words matter. And so why not call it, if we want to ally ourselves with moderate Muslims, why not use the language they’re suggesting we use, which is jihadism, and not broad brush an entire religion?”

Bunkum. ISIS is real Islam. When they start dyeing their beards red then they will be far extreme.
ISIS is trotting around the globe killing people and we’re arguing about whether they represent 5% or 25% of all Muslims. My guess is that it is closer to one third since that is the rough portion of Satan’s minions suggested in Revelations 12:4-13, though I suspect the concentrations may be larger in certain groups.

How can anyone belong to a religion which in its holy book commands one to kill non-believers, cut off hands etc. and establish it as the law of the world.

That might be okay if it were not for the fact that, while Isis is but a tiny slice of islam's mudslimes, it's 90% that either funds, or at least condones via their silence and inaction the 5%.
Look at how Saudi ARabia treats non-Islamic people (enslavement, torture, etc) and they are the heart of Islam.
Grandholm was an idiot and a total failure when she was Gov of Michigan, and apparently nothing has changed.
Doing what they do for 1400 years, this is not rocket science. We have been down this road before, look up Jefferson and John Quincy Adams.

Based on US only figures, 2 in 100,000 Muslims have been a hate-crime murderers during the twelve years preceding my calculation.
1 in 10 million right-of-center people have been.

It might seem that both of the above numbers are very, very small. But, one is so small as to represent the irreducible limit of how many mentally-ill people will slip through the cracks in just about any free country. And, the other is a catastrophe.
On a worldwide basis, the number of Muslims engaged in hate-crime murder is three times higher than it is domestically. I estimate it to be 6 per 100,000. Even this is much lower than would be implied by 99.9 percent of Muslims not being hate-crime murderers. It’s approximately 99.99 percent of Muslims not being hate-crime murders. (The figure for Christians is 99.9999 percent.)
These calculations show just how threatening a very small percentage of ruthless, evil people can be.
Democrats who use the large majority of Muslims to shield the evil of radical Islamic terrorism insult to Islam. It says that Muslims cannot distinguish themselves from the radicals among them. But, this is the way that Democrats think. Democrats put people into categories based on as few as one attribute, such as skin color, when each of us is a unique and morally-responsible creature.
He's got the facts and figures, and he's not afraid to say them. When it comes to discussing the Islamic threat, Maher is heroic.
Then there is the second Bill Maher. When it comes to any other topic, he is a smarmy little fool. But I'll give him a pass on that, because his work on exposing the Islamic threat is so impressive. It's actually unique in the cable/talk show world.
