Meathead Rob Reiner Calls for Filming Boycott in North Carolina Over 'Anti-LGBT' Law
NBC ^ | 3/25/16 | Elisha Fieldstadt

Famed director Rob Reiner said he won't produce movies in North Carolina until it repeals a new law banning cities from enacting their own anti-discrimination protections — legislation widely seen as rolling back LGBT rights.

Reiner, whose long list of movies includes "When Harry Met Sally," "A Few Good Men" and "Stand By Me," joins a growing chorus of entertainment heavyweights who say they bwon't do business in the state while the law is in effect.

"Until this hateful law is repealed and LGBT North Carolinans are treated with the equal dignity they deserve, I will not film another production in North Carolina, and I encourage my colleagues in the entertainment industry to vow to do the same," Reiner said in a statement Friday.

The Republican-led Legislature passed the bill after Charlotte approved anti-discrimination measures that would have allowed transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their gender identity. Gov. Pat McCrory signed the bill into law Wednesday.

A Motion Picture Association of America official on Thursday also said that studios oppose "any law that legitimizes discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression."

An incentive program, which has since been scaled back, has made North Carolina a major film and television production hub.

I live here.

Charlotte passed an ordinance that put old fat weirdos in the bathroom with children.

Governor McCrory said hell no. They weirdos can go to hell.

If big business is that interested with fags and little girls peeing together they can go to hell themselves.

NC will be strong on this and the NBA can get bent.

Lets ask Charles Barkley where he is on this?

If you ever wondered what it looks like when a person’s head leaks, take a good look at Rob Reiner.

Jim, the left here is trying to say NC will lose all this money because the state is not diverse.

The NBA and some Triangle companies are pretending to care.

I swear, it’s out of control. This Governor will not back down and it won’t cost North Carolina one damn dime.

My Daughter is NOT peeing with your Uncle at Bank of America Stadium.

That’s what happened in Michigan, Hollywood would leave a town high & dry after they got a better tax break. No concern about the costs they created for the city/area.

Charlotte will be fine. Their ties are much closer to NY than California.

Faggots in the restroom is a bit much here. Maybe the Faggots should go west.

Put your money where your mouth is, Rob Reiner - stop being a hypocrite. Don't release any movies you've produced in North Caroline, Georgia, or anywhere else that doesn't kowtow to your whims, and take the financial hit. Why would you want your movies playing in states which enact policies you don't agree with?

Or just admit that you're a sham, your posturing is a sham, and shut up.

Hmmm. Wonder if Rob Reiner was one of the “producers” that Corey Feldman was referring to as running after the boys at the drug-sex orgies with the children that were regular occurrences among the Hollywood moguls/elites. He claimed Corey Haimes committed suicide because of the drug-sex orgies and being raped as a kid.

Hollywood and Reiner is adamant at making sodomy “normal” for the children.

Yep.

Buffalo Bill doesn’t need to be in the same room unchaperoned with nursery school girls who walk out of stalls pulling up their ‘Days of the Week’ panties.

I have heard that Charlotte’s mayor Jennifer Roberts is furious over this ruling. If I lived in Charlotte again I would be livid at her spending my tax money to push her sick agenda. I would be demanding answers.

When the miniseries version of Stephen King’s The Stand was to be filmed, more than a few scenes were to take place in Colorado, but King objected to an anti-gay ordinance there so filming took place in Utah instead. King’s daughter Naomi is a lesbian. M-O-O-N, that spells Moonbat as “Tom Cullen” would say.

Feldman seems to have been alluding to Charlie Sheen there; but Reiner comes from the same warped culture.

Of course the answer to this is for ALL states to pass similar laws. Then, Reiner and his ilk can make their films in other countries. Satan loves chaos.

I’m glad I don’t live around there any more.

Charlotte used to be a good place once.

Reiner doesn’t have to reach far to be like King Sturdevant, the worthless 3rd rate quarterback. A favorite episode of Rockford.

In the Charlotte ordinance..

Straight people are restricted as to which bathroom they can use.
Trannys can use the bathroom of their choice.
Just who is being discriminated against.

Fortunately they have been staying out of NC already since the film industry lost their enormous tax incentives here.
