TEXAS senator Ted Cruz is embroiled in a sex scandal befitting the bizarre nature of the current the Republican race for the presidential nomination.
An angry Cruz has accused “Donald Trump and his henchmen” of feeding the National Enquirer a salacious story claiming the conservative Christian politician has had extramarital affairs with five different women.
“This National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies,” Cruz snapped after a campaign stop in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Friday.
“It is a tabloid smear, and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”
The supermarket tabloid did not identify them by name, but published pixelated headshots of the women with black bars across their eyes.
The women were described as a hooker, a teacher, and co-workers.
Cruz also took to Facebook this morning to slam the allegations.
“These smears are completely false, they’re offensive to Heidi and me, they’re offensive to our daughters, and they’re offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack,” he posted.
“Donald Trump’s consistently disgraceful behaviour is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow.”
Despite his efforts the squash the story, the hashtag #CruzSexScandal has been the top trending hashtag on Twitter this morning, adding to the candidate’s woes.

Trump should offer a laughing apology and say:
Sorry Ted (yuk yuk yuk) but I had nothing to do with it.
I know right? Does Cruz really think that people won't notice that he's going after Trump and NOT the National Enquirer?

By the way, how many delegate commitments did Trump lock up today & yesterday? Oh, that’s right, Trump was too busy coordinating with his long-time friend David Pecker (National Enquirer’s CEO) planting bogus rumors to attend to such mundane campaign matters.
There is a reason it is a 4 letter word.
And, if it's true (pending) it won't matter where it came from, the Cruz political career would be over.
But such things affect Cruz more so than any other candidate I can remember.
No candidate in recent memory has so thoroughly put on the public persona of the Godly Man.
It would thoroughly and completely destroy his public persona as now known and make him look quite the hypocrite.

Surf’s up. Cruz sounds irrational when saying the Trump’s attack are out of line. It is almost as if he is trying to sound tough and mean. Sir Mr. Cruz, you are either genuinely confident as a powerful leader or you feel a need to exaggerate your disgust. I detect exaggeration.
